It’s so hard to buy anything online for a Dane. Even when you can see the specs, it’s hard to imagine how it will work for such a huge dog. I have to say, this thing is awesome. It’s plenty large enough (see pic). Moose really loves it, and I love that it takes pressure off his joints. I also love how well constructed and thought out it is. There is a metal frame all the way around it, which is a nice touch, that not only helps with strength and stability, but also prevents the canvas from being chewed on. It has rubber at the bottom of the legs to keep it from sliding, which is awesome for tile or hardwood floors. We cannot keep a rug or carpet in Moose’s kennel because he will tear it up. Hence why we need the bed so he has something after to lay on than the hard floor. I can’t say enough good things about this. It’s a great size and great construction. If you need a bed for your Dane or another large breed, get this! I will update the review with use of how well it holds up to my 160 lb dog. ... show more

I'm so happy with this bed platform. The material edges are completely concealed and even the corners are solid metal. The legs do have a little play in them which is probably fine and the fabric itself does have a little give, so we'll see how much it stretches over time. The design of the rubber feet is really cute and the hard plastic is probably designed to prevent chewing, but I think a softer rubber, or maybe a rubber sock would help it stay in place a little better on a hard surface. My dog is about 60lbs and when she jump on or off, sometimes she pushes it a little. Overall, highly recommended!! ... show more

I appreciate the look, and the ease of cleaning. No more smelly beds. My dog is a 120 pound German Shepherd and fits easily on the XXL. He will love it even more during the summer when I take off the bedding and he gets a breeze through the mesh. This size allows for people to sometimes cuddle with him in his bed. One pre-installed nut was crushed but it popped out easily and came with two extra nuts. If you have a dog that over heats in summer or sheds like crazy, I highly recommend…so far. I used a measuring tape to verify the size. It is advertised as 42x30" but that is a REEAAALLL stretch. I measured 41x29" and that is NOT the fabric but to the metal corners. (see pic) I ordered two of this size: one for a 75# Shepherd/retriever mix and the other for a 95# Shepherd/Poodle mix. It should work ok for the smaller dog while the 95# dog will need the XL. I did look at review videos and one gal said her 95# Rottie was fine on the size Large so I got that size with that in mind. Im going to call the company and see if I can do an exchange ... show more
