Just precious. I was looking for a 24 string in this shape and style - couldn't find it so I ended up settling for the 19 string. Wish it was wider so the strings could have a bit more space between then but this in no way diminishes my happiness with this product.     • Good for lyre academy, and fun to play
I'm using this for the Lyre Academy classes, which are the only online classes I can find for Lyre. First, it is accesible from the back to play two handed. That's a key requirement for that class. Second, it can be held easily in one hand while playing, which is also key there. Thirs, it is easy to tune, holds its tune very well after a number of goes (every string instrument I've ever seen needs to be returned many times before it can hold a tune any reasonable amount of time and this one is better than average). Beautiful, aesthetically. However, the way the pegs are all placed along the top of the instrument means that the highest strings are under WAY too much tension. I thought I would give it a shot, but the second to last string snapped during the first attempt to tune. I was disappointed and had to return the item. ... show more
