I am using Siri to write this, so please excuse any strange words. On the far wall of my living room near the entrance store, I was storing things on the bookshelf, but was having difficulty in finding them. So I had a handyman install this above the thermostat pretty high on the wall I’m over 6 feet tall so it’s not within the reach of any small children or whatever and I can put devices that are battery operated that control things around the house without having to look for them or having them get knocked off all the time. The handyman complemented how wonderful these are and how easy they are to put up I would say from unboxing the getting on the wall and level took 15 minutes or less the touch the field is wonderful and others have come in the house and said how good it looks. It’s high enough that I’m not going to run into it but low enough that I can put stuff on it without trying to get on my tippy toes overall the great product I’m going to try to order another one to use someplace else in the house that I haven’t figured out yet but when you find something good that works you always want to buy a second one , this is a wonderful product. I bought these shelves because they were made by the same brand as the bar table I purchased. I was very happy to see that the wood grain style that I really like from the bar table matched perfectly with the shelves. It really gives my bar area a nice cohesive look. They are floating shelves so that does limit the amount of weight you can put on them. The instructions have you install the mount with 6 screws. I did install all 6 because I was going to be putting some quite a few shot glasses on them. They feel sturdy, I just question what their weight capacity is. I looked online for floating shelves and read a lot of reviews and compared prices. This seemed like the best combo of value and good reviews and I have not been disappointed. I was careful mounting them, one side of the mounting rack got into a stud, the other I had to use an anchor. It seems very sturdy, though as yet I haven't got much heavy stuff on the top one. but the bottom has a plant and now a large mug and fine for that. I recommend these, as long as you carefully mount using the appropriate hardware (it includes different options). ... show more
