I have been a pretty dedicated Vans customer since I was a kid. This is a different type of Vans shoe for sure. I purchased them to rotate with other Vans in the semi-casual work environment. They are very durable and comfortable and looked great with the basic casual black outfit I wore to work in a gym environment. The only issue is that my work outfit seems to be the only thing they match with. The reason why this shoe is so unique for Vans is that the tongue and upper shoe area are padded and bulky, which is different from their usually slimmer high-tops. As a result, they will not tuck inside/underneath standard size pant legs (prob not a problem if you wear loose pants) so they will bunch up and look a little sloppy...at least on me. They loom a little awkward on me in shorts too. I don't get too much use out of them anymore now that I do not work at the same place. Overall its a good quality shoe but just make sure they match your style before the return window ends. ... show more

I have short wide feet. At first, they felt snug around the toe box. Upon loosening and a little walking around I became very pleased. A size 9 may have been a bit more comfortable but they seem to be true to fit. If you like room I suggest half size up from your normal size. I fit anywhere between 8.5-10 depending on manufacture. If you have wide feet at the toe box you may find uncomfortable. Yet, I loosened and they are canvas so they will break in well. All in all I’m very pleased. ... show more

I bought these and right from the beginning the right shoe seemed too tight and narrow in the right little toe area. I attempted to return them to amazon but said I had to contact manufacturer. Unfortunately my schedule di not allow for this. I got stuck with them ao I decided to keep wearing them to see if they would “break in” after a month or so the right shoe is still uncomfortable. Now the left shoe is coming apart from the seams. I would NOT recommend these shoes and I would suggest Amazon and or Vans make the returnable via Amazon so it does not cause a hassle to their customers. Wasted $ ... show more
