I'm not the kind of person to typically spend $75 on pair of shoes. Mainly because they're not usually better quality than cheaper brands. But in this case, these Vans were definitely worth the money. The canvas is thick and nicely tailored and even though these don't have the "Skate" line gel insoles and have less padding under foot, they are surprisingly very comfortable. In fact, I like to feel the ground under my feet but yet these aren't "hard". These shoes are awesome - I love them. They're a great value, as they're not very ex[pensive, but very well made. One of the things I get frustrated with when buying clothes and shoes is the way every brand seems to come up with their own size - a size 9 of one brand can be a size 10 in another brand - but these shoes are sized straight from the Bannock device. They fit perfectly. The stark white color helps them match with anything - they look great with low-profile socks for that "ankles in the wind" look. I'm kind of disappointed in the color. It's a lot deeper blue in the picture then they are in real life. So I'm not as excited about them. I wear 81/2 in women's and got a size 7 in men's and they fit good. I'll keep them but I wish the color was true.
