I'm not the kind of person to typically spend $75 on pair of shoes. Mainly because they're not usually better quality than cheaper brands. But in this case, these Vans were definitely worth the money. The canvas is thick and nicely tailored and even though these don't have the "Skate" line gel insoles and have less padding under foot, they are surprisingly very comfortable. In fact, I like to feel the ground under my feet but yet these aren't "hard". Very well made shoes. Even though they are canvas, they are sturdy and will likely hold up well to some abuse. The sole is thinner than I expected, but that is what I was hopping for, so I'm happy. It give great board feel. There is no arch support, but I don't want or need arch support. (I run on 3 mm of rubber and spend most of my time barefoot.) Very solid pair of skate shoes that look good wearing out and about. These Vans fit me much better than DC or Globe shoes I tried on. I have a wide size 10 foot. These are a bit narrow for my foot, but will stretch out. For the money, I highly recommend these. I'll update once I get a bit more use out of them. ... show more

These shoes are awesome - I love them. They're a great value, as they're not very ex[pensive, but very well made. One of the things I get frustrated with when buying clothes and shoes is the way every brand seems to come up with their own size - a size 9 of one brand can be a size 10 in another brand - but these shoes are sized straight from the Bannock device. They fit perfectly. The stark white color helps them match with anything - they look great with low-profile socks for that "ankles in the wind" look.
