This camisole is in a very thin fabric that tends to cling and reveal every lump and bump. It does not smooth you out in any way. However, it is a good neutral beige and it is something I could wear under a thinner top. It doesn't show colours through, so if I'm wearing a beige, light pink or white bra, it will just make everything unified and unobtrusive. I bought it for that purpose and it will work. I would have preferred something less close to the body and revealing, that would have skimmed over my lumps (I can count my ribs and then my belly makes a little ball below them) but this will do under some of my clothes. Please note this is definitely underwear and not a top you can wear out, in case that's what you're looking for. The lace trim is nice and looks like good quality. I liked the color and the smooth fabric because I bought this cami as a base layer that I hoped would "disappear" under other clothing and allow me to move without my outer shirt bunching or getting static cling. I think the cami would have worked in that regard. However, I returned it because the fabric wasn't as stretchy as I wanted. It wanted stretch that was comparable to something like leggings.
