This Vanilla Woods by Anthology is lovely and I highly recommend it if you like a fragrance with depth and complexity. This is not a the simple sweet vanilla of cupcakes and first dates - this is drawing down the moon on Samhain while skyclad kind of vanilla. Deep, rich, dark, and velvety. I love Anthology fragrances - they are so elegantly layered and bloom beautifully on the skin. This smells smokey and rich from the neck of the bottle, but when you apply it, the vanilla bursts out and rounds out all that depth into something sexy and arcane. On my skin there is something a little sharp and unnerving under the vanilla in the first few minutes, but it mellows out quickly into warm spiciness with just a hint of sweetness . The scent puts me in the mood for bonfires, spiked coffee, and crisp leave crunching under my feet. I can't wait for fall to get here NOW so that I can wear this 24/7. Because it is a perfume oil, it has tremendous staying power, and can have a lot of throw if you over apply. This needs just a dab on pulse points to last all day and not overwhelm anyone walking past you. I received compliments on this repeatedly through the day, but only when people were within arms length. The bottle is a heavy glass roller ball cylinder - very nice - and was securely packaged inside bubble wrap and then inside a cardboard tube to boot - I'm so pleased to have something so well protected! This would be great to take on the go, it's the perfect size for traveling, and because it comes in a little carboard tube I feel extra confident putting it in my overnight case or gym bag. The current price ($14.24 at the time of my review) is a fantastic value for a beautiful fragrance that is going to last a good long time for me!

This is a very nice fragrance! I love the earthy vanilla scent, it's pretty strong for the first hour or two. Everyone around me instantly noticed the scent. This does last 8 hours as claimed, even after washing my hands a few times. I honestly wasn't expecting this to be the case for a $15 perfume roller! As the listing claims, this is 100% safe for sensitive skin. This did not bother my skin at all!

I think this brand is slowly becoming one of my favorites. The quality of the perfume and the convenience of it being in a roller ball is awesome. I put this particular scent on in the morning and I was still able to faintly smell it over 6 hours later. I got so many complements on it as well. I had someone walk into the same room as me and say "oh my gosh, it smells so good in here. Like Vanilla. Is that your perfume?" She then asked me what perfume I was wearing because she wanted to get some for herself. I've never had that happen to me before. The plus is that I didn't really even put that much on. Just a bit on the wrists and décolletage. This is not an overpowering scent. It smells a bit strong and almost musky while in the bottle and a bit when you first put it on, but once it is on your skin, over time it starts to get a sweeter scent to it and more of the warmer vanilla notes come out. The scent sort of reminds me of Twilight woods from bath and body works if you're looking for a comparison. The presentation of this is pretty. I love the cylinder container it comes in. It makes it look like a good gift to give someone. The roller ball bottle is perfect size to throw in your purse if you need to leave quickly. It's small and super convenient to carry for when you need to reapply. I will be buying this again once I'm out.

I have sensitive skin which normally reacts to fragrances but I didn't have any reaction to this at all. The roller comes in a nice tube package which kept it safe until it arrived. The rollerball on this glides easily and smoothly and dispenses a fair amount where you place it. My daughter loves vanilla scented fragrances so I originally ordered this for her to try but she said she didn't smell any vanilla and felt like it was on the edge of smelling a little manly. After smelling it on her, I didn't find it to be manly, just a little more woodsy than sweet or flower-based which is what I normally lean towards. After trying it on myself, I like it even more. The scent does seem to vary based on who is wearing it. The scent can be a little strong so a little goes a long way. It dries quickly and the scent lasts most of the day which was a plus for me.

Scent is so personal and hard to describe, but I'll try! To me it would sort of smell gender neutral if not for the vanilla notes, which moves into the feminine camp. The woodsy, slightly spicy smell is deep and acts as the base for the lighter vanilla warmth on top. I was concerned it would smell "young" like something 15 year old me would have bought, or like a candle (doesn't "vanilla woods" sound like a candle name?) but it's neither of those - it's clearly the smell of an adult woman's perfume. I feel like I'd be most likely to smell it around millennials and gen x women at casual social outings or on relaxed date nights. I like it. I think the value is awesome; it will last a long time.

The media could not be loaded. I was really excited to try this scent. I received a notification that there was an attempted delivery. For some reason UPS delivers this product and a signature was required. I understand they want to make sure their product gets delivered. I work and do not have time to wait for packages and sign for them. I had to physically drive to a location to pick it up which defeats the purpose of ordering from Amazon in the first place. I'm taking a star away because if the inconvenience. As far as the item itself, It is beautifully packaged. I love the tube it comes in. It's a high quality product, its a roll on and a little goes a long way. I love how strong and long lasting the scent is. That being said it's not my favorite scent, I wish there was a stronger vanilla scent to it. It's not terrible though scents are so personal some people love one thing and others hate it. I think this is a nice scent to wear out daily to a casual setting.
