  • Excellent ligatures
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
Worlds great with the new mouth piece.

  • No real complaints about this ligature
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
This ligature seems to be sturdy and, and i appreciate that the cap fits very well with it. The ligature DOES show heavy signs of oxidation, or something of the sort, after being used for a few months. What I mean by this is that the finish on the ligature starts looking "worn" and "scratched off" to some extent. I personally don't mind this as it makes it look rustic and gives it a cool vintage "character" :) I also like that it only ones one screw instead of two, and still seems to have a tight hold. My reeds do not shift when putting my mouthpiece on, nor when I play or have to adjust. ... show more

  • Heaven on earth
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
Finally! This is the 6th ligature i have tried on my Vandoren T55 Jumbo Java mouthpiece and it fits perfectly. I love the way it tightly holds the reed and the way it's shaped. Very unique, have never seen anything like it before. The low notes now play effortlessly. I use a Vandoren Java 3 reed. It's gold, but i knew that from reading the previous post before i bought it. Amazon delivered it a day early and I took it to band practice. ... show more

  • Ligature experience
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
The ligature is very good. Light and comfortable, since it has only one screw is very easy to put it on the mouthpiece. The only thing is that it's a little bit small for my mouthpiece (Navarro Marble), it fits, but there is no chance to put the ligature at the end of the mouthpiece (no big deal with it also). Caution, the piece is gold not silver, search for the model number on vandoren's site: LC58DP ... show more

  • What a difference!!
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
This ligature changes how your body breathes giving the user much more breath. The difference in the overall tone was immediate, however, the real difference came during the time when you start to feel a little tired.. Not only did it not happen, I was gaining strength. I felt, at the end of the performance, better than ever. I did not know that the ligature made that big of a difference. Should have got it 10-15 yrs ago. As a teacher, it's a must buy. • Preferred Ligature
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
The alto/tenor players in my household prefer these ligatures over the traditional 2-screw "H" style ligatures and over the seemingly more advanced fabric style ligatures. They say the shaped indents on the metal bands really hold onto the reed better (less movement) than basic ligatures or fabric straps. Not only is the one screw easier to manipulate than two screws, but the one screw also makes the mouthpiece-ligature-reed assembly easier to grip and manipulate when tuning the instrument (positioning the mouthpiece more or less on the neck) as the screw doesn't get in the way of fingers like two screws do. ... show more

  • Tight.... Very Tight
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
So I am not sure if it's just that my mouthpieces are not compatible with this specific ligature, but I had trouble fitting it on my Chedeville tenor mouthpiece. I then tried it on a stock cannonball, it does fit, but very barely when fully loose and bites really hard into the reed (third picture). Again, unsure if it's just my mouthpieces, as I don't have a vandoren tenor mouthpiece. ... show more

  • Ligature Extraordinaire
Color: Gilded Style: LC58DP M/O Cap
I have to say this is a great ligature and works wonderfully. I find it easy to use, easy to position and works well on my Brilhart mouthpiece. I have tried the H-Ligature by Rico which is OK, but does not work as simply as this one. I also use Bonade ligatures and they are excellent was well. the the Vandoren M/O is the best I own and works very well. Suitable for beginners to professionals this is a great ligature. ... show more
