I love to cook and entertain, though I haven't done much entertaining since COVID. Strangely, though, despite having all manner of kitchen and serveware, I've never had serving platters before. In the past, I've just used plates or bowls I already have on hand, but putting out a platter of grilled meats or vegetables doesn't look as nice when it's piled high on a round dinner plate. These caught my eye because of the bold blue and white patterns that reminded me of my mom's dinnerware from my youth (which I've incorporated several blue and white pieces into my own dishes as an homage) I liked the versatility of the three rectangular plates These are well crafted ceramic dishes. They have a good weight to them, and the finish is a gorgeous blueprint blue against a stark white. The medium size nicely held 6 grilled chicken breasts, though if I had 8 on this one, they would have fit just fine. I think the smaller one is ideal with 4 chicken breasts, but I'm not sure about the large yet. What's nice is that a week after I ordered these, I saw some beautiful mugs, ordered them, then when I opened the box, I realized that they match this set! Now I want to get the dishes, even though I've purchased plenty of dishes in the past couple of years. These are so well made and pretty that I think I can be excused if they end up on my doorstep!

My wife and I have always loved entertaining and as we age, it becomes even more important because it means to have family and friends around more often. That's the reason we considered ordering these platters and although I don't consider myself shallow, I must admit that I like making a good impression and these platters do help with that. They look great and are seemingly well made. Each platter is of a different size and complementary different pattern. Although they are heavy which ensures stability, they feel delicate which is the only issue that I've found. My fear is that it will chip away easily but so far, there's no sign of wear or tear. Overall, I am satisfied and would buy more if we needed.
