I'd never owned this style shoe before so I was excited to give it a try. I've been trying to broaden my horizons a bit as I'm finding that I'm very happy with some of the types of shoes/clothing that I didn't think I'd be a fan of. To start these shoes are very comfortable. They fit quite well and provide good support for the feet. I'm not sure I'd want to go for a long lunchtime walk in them but they feel sturdy enough to. I've had them for a few weeks and have worn them around 10 times. They seem fairly durable and are holding up well. I'm on my feet for several hours each day and they show no signs of premature wear. They are mostly slip resistant. I haven't tried them in snow/ice but for walking the hallways at work which sometimes can be the tiniest bit slippery, they are great. The shoes breathe well and my feet don't feel sweat soaked at the end of the day. Overall for these reasons as well as the value of them I do recommend them and give them a 5-star review. ... show more

I got these shoes to wear occasionally with dress pants or possibly even a suit. For about $25 I was pleasantly surprised. The good stuff... *The heel is cushioned with memory foam. *The soles are not smooth like most dress shoes I've purchased. They have a small texture pattern with larger grooves for traction and bending of the foot. *The artificial leather looks remarkably like real leather and wipes clean easily. *No shoelaces! Slip-ons! Life's too short too short to be tying shoes all the time. The not so good stuff... *Not real leather (if that bothers you) *Does not have arch support *Rubber, slip resistant sole will prevent you from sliding around the dance floor (but you won't fall as easy) The final word stuff... These shoes seem to be well made and at around 25 bucks are a good value. I definitely would recommend these, especially if you need to walk in slippery spots (ice?) or if you are like me and will be wearing them occasionally for occasions. ... show more
