I’ve just ordered my third batch of these VH poplin shirts. The latest batch is second or third generation. First generation was about 4 years ago and I had zero problems. Second, and maybe third gen (new tag materials anyways), the sleeves are slightly different and the sizing is inconsistent. The inconsistent sizing usually has something to do with the size of the arm holes. About 9” is what I’m most comfortable with. But, the actual size varies from 7-9”, depending on the colors of the shirts. Yes, the color of the shirt. I have to order different colors, and return the ones with arm holes less than about 8.5 inches. Shirt colors that fit me (arm hole apx. 8.5-9"): pacifico, persian blue, desert rose, magenta Shirt colors that do not fit me (arm holes apx. 7-8.5"): Lavender, deap sea, leaf, persimmon. Note: several other colors available that I have not tried yet. A sizing bonus: these are one of the few shirts you can get a 16.5 inch neck, with 36/37 inch sleeves. That sleeve length is usually found in 17 + inch neck sizes. I’ve got broad “cowboy” shoulders, long arms, a 42” inch chest, weight about 195lbs., and I’m 5’11” tall. These shirts actually fit me, sorta (gah, why have small arm holes on a shirt w/gorilla arm length sizing?!). The body of the shirt is perfect, the shoulders are a good fit with the seem right at the end of my shoulder. Zero problems with buttons. Occasional small defect in threading but no functional failures. The fabric doesn’t rip and drapes well. The no wrinkle feature is true, I travel and pack a LOT! The bottom button is a smidge too high for my 5’11” frame. It lands just above my belt line and causes the shirt to pull out, separate, and expose my T-shirt or skin. But, it’s workable. An extra bottom button for taller men would be good. The length of the sides drapes a couple inches below my belt line and the tails down to my inseam. All told, I’ve worn about 10 of these shirts until they’ve worn out. I use them as work shirts in a light blue-collar job. I tend to wear each shirt 1-2 days a week, year round, and they last me 1.5-2 years. ... show more

These are outstanding shirts. I literally have bought over 100 of them, and they are the only shirts I buy. They are tough, durable, the colors stay bright and colorful forever, the fabric is long-lasting and doesnt show sign of wear even after several years of weekly washing, if they get wrinkles you can just hang them up overnight and the wrinkle will be gone the next day. In short, they are great shirts...except the sleeves have gotten tight in the past 2 years - and no, it is not me getting overweight! For some reason, the sleeves in the forearm area have been getting tighter and tighter. If you have an athletic build or are overweight, try one shirt before you buy a bunch of them to make sure they fit. If they do fit you, congratulations, in my opinion, there is no better shirt on the market. ... show more

I purchased a few of these shirts because of their fit. They are a good value, but watch for packaging, as you can see in my pics. Two shirts came crumpled up while one came perfect. They should be neatly folded, pinned, and have cardboard to support them. If not, you probably received someone else's returned item, just like I did on two prior occasions—the quality control before packaging appears to be a problem. ... show more

My only complaint with this shirt is that it’s advertised as wrinkle-free. Unfortunately, even after taking it directly out of the dryer, it’s still a bit wrinkly. But it still is worth the purchase price.

Good quality shirt. It did seem bunched, vice folded, in our bag. One note on sizing - it was a 32/33. If, like me, you need a 33, then I suggest you go up a size or find a straight 33. Also, it seemed a little short in length. I kept tucking it in, but some of that was a new suit whose pants seemed to sit lower ... show more
