This is one heck of a cribbage board! The board itself is handsome, made of wood with a dark finish except for the three peg tracks that are painted with varying degrees of tan/brown for easy tracking. The tracks follow the classic snake pattern. The board is actually the top lid of a box, and inside the box there are storage slots for two decks of cards and a small cardboard box holding the requisite metal pegs - all included. The box has solid metal hinges and is magnetized so it closes firmly. While the whole set packs up well, it is a little on the big side, weighing over 2 pounds and over 15 inches long. So if you're going backpacking or looking for something to pass the time in flight, there are many smaller cribbage boards for you. But if you're looking for a classic everyday cribbage board that will last you for several years, this is a great candidate. Highest recommendation.

I've owned a lot of cribbage boards and this is probably the nicest. The board and the pegs are really high quality. You could use this as a show piece in a game room. The pegs have a really nice heft to them. The case is magnetically held closed and has a lot of room inside. There are foam cut-outs for 2 decks of cards and the pegs. There are a few minor issues. The pegs are round and heavy, so if you leave them on the table they tend to roll off. The included cards are sub-par, so plan on replacing them. The instruction don't fit in the wooden case. They do (obviously) fit in the cardboard box, but I don't plan on using that.

This is a very nice high quality cribbage board. It has a magnetic closure for the internal compartment that holds the cards and pegs. I do wish the directions would fit inside the internal compartment instead of only the box which probably no one will keep. The pegs are substantial and made of metal as compared to some I have seen that are wood or plastic. This is a nice high quality set and I recommend this.

This review is based on the $29 price at the time of acquisition. For that price I expected a more functional higher quality full set. The board and pieces are nice along with the case, but the cards are cheap. I live in an area where EVERYONE plays cribbage and I've seen sets of all sorts and quality. This one is mediocre compared to what everyone else has. It won't be as cool as a handmade board, but it does come with a travel case and that is handy. But don't show up to play bringing this set along with these cards - you'll get laughed out of the game room.

This set includes two full decks of cards, three sets of metal pegs, and a very nice case/cribbage board. Magnets keep it closed. It has two pegs for keeping score and one for tracking games won. Felt interior and felt bottom are a nice touch.
