We purchased two of these desks and the quality is excellent. The assembly instructions are well written and easy to follow. Assembly took roughly two hours with two of us working together. The finish is more of a light cream color with an obvious grain finish. The wood desktop is a bit darker than in the photo but is very realistic in real life. The measurements were exactly as stated in the description. The drawers are strong and slide easily. The depth of the drawers allows for versatility of use. The desk is a comfortable height but check the depth measurements. The top is a bit shallower than a normal office desk. This worked well for us but may hinder someone else from using the desk effectively. Overall, the desk has great quality and should last a long time.

The first thing to say is that unboxing the desk is overwhelming. There are so many pieces. It took my wife and I parts of two days to complete but the finished product is great. Once completed it is pretty sturdy and it looks great. The price is pretty low for a desk. The engineering was perfect. All pre-drilled holes fit and everything went together solidly. Instructions were all visible. My advice is to pay close attention so you don't have to redo sections like I did! I like the power strip on top.

What can I say except: 1) Considering this is mostly made of what appears to be particle board (which I should have expected for the price, even though it was advertised as "wood") it seems a decent to nice little desk. 2) Very easy to put together and so far, seems quite sturdy. This gets the job done and seems pretty much as advertised. Overall, I would have given it three stars, but I feel like a lot of that would be based on my personal preferences and the fact that I mostly assumed this would not have any particle/processed board construction. I am really only slightly concerned about the drawer bottoms, but they do seem a tiny bit sturdier than a previous desk. They should support a low to moderate amount of weight without bending over time. That and I really prefer a larger desk, but I had space constraints. I would maybe not buy one with the side drawers at this size. I do work at this desk 8-12 hours per day and it gets the job done well for the space I had to fit it in. PROS: - The larger top drawer does have a centered support block which should help support the thin bottom if you tend to really load up your drawers. - Very easy to put together. There were a few parts of the instructions where I missed a couple pins, but when I looked back they did show up on the images, just not as prominently featured as some of the previous steps. - This looks nice, doesn't wiggle, does have solid/sturdier actual structural pieces. The drawers and backing are a particle board of sorts, but the three main "legs" or sides supporting the top slab are certainly something solid. - The slats for the drawer buttons seem a bit deeper (in comparison to another desk) and give me hope that they will be capable of supporting a bit of weight over and extended period of use. - Actually arrived a couple days early and was easy to get in the house with a second set of hands. I maybe could have struggled up the stairs with it by myself. - I do like this enough to keep using CONS: - Particle board. - I tend to really load up my drawers and have had terrible experiences in the past with this type of drawer bottom (whatever you call that piece of compacted card board looking slide in bottom). The description said "wood" which I took to mean actual pieces of wood, not processed wood product. - ONE of the drawer sides arrived without the slate for the bottom piece cut out on the edge (images included, along with the other piece it connects to for comparison). This would have made it impossible to completely put that drawer together. Fortunately, this was nothing a pair of scissors or wire clippers could not handle. I did not reach out to the seller for this issue as I really just wanted to have the thing together and had no intention of packing the half assembled desk back up for a return. - Personally, I feel there is barely enough room for my legs under the desk (I am used to a bigger desk) and there is no way I could have my monitor centered on the desk and still use it comfortably. I suppose I should have figured this out from looking at the images, but it is worth noting if you are the kind of person who would be bothered by this. Also, as I slide my arms around a lot while typing, I find the edge of the desk a bit rough/irritating, but apparently not enough to buy extra padding of sorts. Point of note: I have weird lighting in the room I have it in. I attempted to adjust some of the images to get a more accurate color. Based on whatever lighting you have the desk in, I would say it is between the images I took and the ones from the vendor. Also, I didn't realize the color had a slightly more worn/rustic kind of look to it. I thought it would be solid white, but as you can see in the photos, the effect is minimal and actually makes the desk match the rest of the wood walled room.

First of all let me say I am 79 yrs. old and on disability. I purchased 2 of these and in the last 2 days, taking my time I put one together by myself, {I did need 2 people to lay the top on}. The directions were pretty straight forward and for the most part the pieces were clearly marked. The trouble came when some of the pieces were marked with the wrong numbers. When that happened, instead of yelling and screaming and pulling my hair out, I took a deep breath, used a little common sense and realized that the piece wasn't even close to being the right one and that it wouldn't fit, I just went to the front of the directions and identified the correct piece. When it comes to installing the hinges the directions are not clear, but if you mess up like I did, even at the end it's no problem in correcting it. All in all the desk looks good, it's quite stable and for the price I'd say it's well made. I hope the second desk will be as easy and as problem free as this one was. Hope this review helps the next person.

This desk is beautiful! Just as shown in pictures. I would've given this a 5 star, had the seller responded to my message about a broken piece. Was hoping that they could send me the replacement. But no response. Its been 3 or more days. I dont want to return this item. It was challenging to build. Instructions were clear. Even though the side was damaged part 15, everything works great otherwise.

We were surprised when we got this desk at how heavy the box was, sign of good quality materials. It was kind of a challenge to put together took my husband about two hours. But we are very happy with the results of how it looks and the quality of desk.

Features: This desk is just what I was looking for in terms of size and storage. I needed a desk that was smaller than the one I had previously, but I didn't want to sacrifice too much on the storage space available in the drawers. This desk filled the bill pretty nicely. I can have a laptop, a second monitor, and an external keyboard and still have some open space on the top of the desk for pen and paper, stapler, tape, etc. There are four drawers including one large enough and equipped to hold files in hanging file folders. Materials: The materials the desk is made of are quite sturdy with the exception of the bottoms of the drawers which aren't exactly flimsy, but they are a bit on the thin side. You'll want to be careful not to overload the drawers, but storing a reasonable amount of stuff in them isn't a problem. Assembly: The assembly guide gives assembly steps in the proper order, and it has reasonably clear visuals. You should look through the entire guide and make sure you examine and organize all of the parts before you begin assembling them so that you can work efficiently. There are lots of screws, bolts, dowels, and cam locks to hold the pieces together, so I would strongly suggest using a power screwdriver--makes assembly go so much quicker! A few extra screws, bolts, etc. are supplied, so unless you lose any of them during assembly, you should have some extras when you are finished putting the desk together. Unless you have a lot of experience putting furniture like this together, you should allow at least a couple of hours for the entire assembly process. Caveats: My only complaint about this product is that there were some minor problems with the machining of a few of the parts. In one piece there was no pre-drilled hole where there should have been for one of the dowels. I decided that there were enough other screws and bolts to hold this piece in place, so I simply decided to do without that one dowel. The other minor problem is with the placement of holes for the hanging file folder rods. The holes for these on the back side of the desk drawer were drilled too close to the top edge of that piece, so the rods wouldn't stay in position. I fixed this problem by using a couple of small pieces of painter's tape to secure them. These small problems are the reason I didn't give this product five stars. Final thoughts: Overall, I'm pretty happy with this desk. Other than the couple of assembly hiccups mentioned above, I found the process went smoothly even though I don't have a lot of prior experience assembling furniture. The pieces fit together well, the drawers glide smoothly, and I like the slightly distressed look (I think it is referred to as "rustic" in the product description) of the finishes. I would say that this product is a reasonably good value for the price and an even better value if there is a discount coupon you can apply.
