  • Works so well! I recommend for any dog!
Size: Medium
This collar has been amazing for monitoring my German Shepherds health and location. It’s much like a Fitbit with gps but for my fur baby. I like that when she decides to roam the neighborhood I can pinpoint her location in seconds. As for the health aspect I can now understand what could be bothering her. This collar is truly a lifesaver. I recommend measuring your dogs’ neck and following the provided size guidelines as it helped me pick the appropriate size for my dog. It is lightweight and I assume fits comfortably as she never seems to be bothered by it. The collar itself is durable. I have no worries about her getting it muddy as it wipes off with ease. Setting up the collar and account was super easy. The app walks you right through set up. Once it’s set up it starts showing you real time results of heart rate, pulse, breathing and temperature. What I love most about this collar and app is it helps detect early indicators of stress, pain, seizures, and mobility problems. I can use the collar for up to three weeks before having to need to charge it. It will charge quickly, within two hours. I highly recommend this for taking care of your fur baby! It is worth every penny and works great. ... show more

  • It has its pros and cons… (actually mostly cons)
Size: Medium
Update: After doing my best to make this collar do what it says it does, and going back and forth with customer service endlessly, I finally gave up. I was well beyond the return window, but pushed HARD, and eventually got a refund. The breaking points: - Collar was unreliable tracking stats or location history in poor service areas and didn’t store and upload the stats as it’s supposed to when we returned to better service - GPS doesn’t work well (at least for where I live), and therefore the Find My Pet feature is completely useless and didn’t work at all. - Health alerts aren’t delivered when the event occurs, they only alert to a trend over time and deliver at random. They advertise near real-time health alerts… this is extremely misleading. - Finally, customer service is HORRIBLE. Canned answers that don’t make sense, then if you call that out you get told they checked your account and everything looks great, or they say a setting is wrong that isn’t. “Our techs looked into it and we can see everything bug working correctly on our end” kind of answers. I would send screenshots showing them they are wrong OR that there is an issue with the collar and they go back to canned answers. They just want to talk you in circles until you give up and keep a $300 paperweight. Original Review: Ordered this collar after my dog had a few major health scares, involving rapidly occurring high fevers. This appears to be the only smart collar on the market that tracks body temperature, so we’re giving it a try. It’s day 37 with the collar, and while there are things about it that I love, there are also things I wish were better. I’ll lay it all out, and then update if anything changes. The Good: - The app is simple to setup and use. I like that the Dashboard shows where we are in our “journey.” - Current stats display right in the Dashboard as well, which is convenient for quick checks. - GPS location and history track accurately. - The Health screen displays the weekly stats in graphs so it’s easy to see any outliers for the weeks, and then at the bottom you can looks at trends and comparisons. I do like the comparison feature, so you have a better idea of how your dog is doing compared to other dogs of their same age, weight, or breed. - My dog doesn’t seem to mind the collar staying on 24/7 and she hasn’t had any irritation. I was a bit worried about this initially because the collar looks pretty bulky and uncomfortable. The Bad (or at least the not-so-great): - My biggest complaint right now is that the “journey” (data collecting periods) is about 12 weeks to unlock all the data features. This is fine, except that the return window is only 30 days. So you have to decide, BEFORE the collar is fully functional, if you want to keep it. This is frustrating. - The collar does shift out of its “ideal” position and needs adjusting every few days. The straps seem to slide slightly loose. - You cannot connect a leash or hanging ID gas or anything to the collar without disrupting the sensors. This ain’t a huge deal, but with the collar already being kind of bulky, it’s annoying to have to add another collar or harness whenever we go outside. - The GPS only updates at the same frequency as the other stats. So if you have it set to the standard 15-minute intervals, location only updates every 15 minutes. You can adjust it down to 5 minutes, but even at that frequency, a lost dog can travel a long way in 5 minutes. So the feature is more reliable than an AirTag as it has its own cellular connection and doesn’t rely on others having the same device, BUT infrequent updates would make searching challenging if your dog is moving. - I have noticed that when we are away from home (WiFi), the collar doesn’t always record my dog’s vitals, though the location history stays active. I reached out to customer service to figure out how to prevent long gaps in vitals. I was told that missing vitals would update once I got back into a better service area (they do not). Then I was told that if they don’t update it is because of environmental interference, the dog panting hard, or other similar variables. Basically they said it’s like a doctor’s stethoscope, and won’t record data if it may be incorrect due to other factors. I get this, but also this is irritating since the collar tracks respirations as a key indicator of a health issue. Panting is often a first visible sign of illness, so the collar not working in these cases is somewhat worrisome. - Customer service isn’t great. They mostly just provide prewritten answers, even when they aren’t relevant to your question or situation. I had to actually call them out on this to get a reasonable response that made sense. - Battery life is wildly inconsistent. The first charge held for almost two weeks. Since then though, it needs to be charged every few days. I tried reducing the data frequency to longer periods, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference. It still lasts a few days, so it’s not a deal breaker; but it does take 2+ hours to fully charge, so it’s not nothing either. Overall, I give it 3 stars. While it does create some peace of mind around my dog’s health, it is also still lacking in many ways. I am hopeful that once the 12-week journey is over and all the features open up, that the influx of data will outweigh the shortfalls. I will update my review if anything changes. Value for money, is less than ideal given the high initial cost plus $29 monthly subscription fee. But I’m still willing to see it through. ... show more

  • Happy to have information at my fingertips
Size: Medium
The collar is easy to charge and the app is very intuitive. We have a large property in the mountains, so cellular service can be spotty. The color never disconnected using Wi-Fi, but I would have to check it occasionally because of spotty cell service, if the dog was running further away outside. It was a simple reset. I got great readings for basic information like heart rate and temperature shortly after I began using it, and after a longer time I got information about sleep quality, activity levels, and other indicators to help me notice if there’s a problem. I honestly thought my dog was getting more exercise, but she seems to rest about 93% of the time. This information helped me adjust her caloric intake. I found the information about her heart rate and respiration to be accurate, although she’s normally just barking at a wild rabbit or a delivery person. When she was feeling a little off, I was able to quickly assess that it didn’t seem like she had a fever. As she ages, I find this told to be very valuable to help monitor her daily activities. We do operate a large farm, but this dog is an older, indoor pet. She wanders around outside and occasionally gets lost. The GPS was always 100% accurate. We could locate her and bring her back in. This clearly provides more information than I could gather just by checking in on her a few times a day. The subscription cost is reasonable and a good value for the money. ... show more

  • Health Monitor / Health Habits Tracker
Size: Medium
We got this for our dog after he had major surgery to help us monitor his recovery. It really gave us peace of mind. Full features take awhile to unlock since the collar needs to gather a lot of data to make health predictions. Love that you can set up the collar to read vitals every few minutes and alert you to any abnormalities or have it set up more like a health tracker and have the battery last longer. Only suggestion for improvement would be either to use a stronger collar system in case this is the only one your dog wears 24/7 so that you can add your dogs ids to it OR find a way to make this an attachment to a daily wear collar. ... show more

  • This pet collar is useless for tracking. The software is buggy and poorly designed.
Size: Medium
I got this to be able to track our dog in a suburb (in case he gets loose). We had had a Whistle tracking collar which worked well for years until the company was sold to a competitor (Tractive). As Tractive shut down the service of our Whistle collar without warning -- trust broken -- I did not want to buy their product and searched for another pet tracker. I read a lot of reviews and that led me to buying this one, including a $180 data plan, but this PetPlace tracker is awful. The main problem is that this tracker doesn't track. The app crashes often. This is after restarting the app many times. And when it doesn't crash, it usually says "can't communicate" even in an environment with lots of excellent cellular coverage. When it does communicate, its map is not very helpful. It doesn't show the user's location nor orientation. It does not seem to have the concept of "safe zones" where it will send an alert of the dog leaves the zone. Other problems are that the collar is much larger and heavier than the old Whistle collar, it has rubber spikes that face the poor dog's neck, and its UI is cluttered and ugly. ... show more

  • Fantastic product
Size: Medium
We purchased the PetPace Smart Collar after looking for a more reliable way to monitor our dog’s overall health, especially as he has gotten older. The setup was straightforward, and the collar itself feels well made and comfortable. It is not bulky, and our dog adjusted to wearing it very quickly. What stands out most is the depth of information provided in the app. You are not just seeing activity levels, but also trends in rest, breathing, heart rate, and overall behavior patterns. The alerts are especially helpful because they focus on changes from your dog’s normal baseline rather than generic thresholds. That gives us peace of mind without constant false alarms. The app is easy to navigate and presents the data in a clear way, even for someone who is not very technical. We also appreciate the ability to share reports with our veterinarian, which makes conversations more informed and productive during visits. Overall, this feels like a thoughtfully designed product for pet owners who want to be proactive about their dog’s well being. It is not just a tracker, it is a real monitoring tool, and it has quickly become part of our daily routine. I would recommend it to anyone who wants better insight into their dog’s health and activity. ... show more

  • Upgraded smart collar
Size: Medium
I upgraded to the PetPace V3.0 Smart Collar as a gift for my sisters dog-really for my sis! It gives her real peace of mind. The real time health monitoring and smart alerts help her catch changes early, and the app makes everything easy to understand. This feels far more advanced than a basic activity tracker and is absolutely worth it for serious pet health monitoring. Great product. ... show more

  • Needs to be fixed
Size: Medium
If you want to sell hardware, you need to hire software engineers that can code themselves out of a wet paper bag. Yours cant, PetPace. I signed up, got an account, logged in via the app to said account, then it just hangs trying to find the collar. My wifi was full bars on the phone (it should be, router is maybe 8 feet away). Collar is same location. Collar shows up on my phone's blue tooth, and I can pair with it, but sometimes the app just locks up - completely unresponsive to anything, and sometimes it just sits there with 'searching for your collar'. It's going back. I had high hopes this would help us monitor our dog's seizures, but there's no way to play. Update - 6-13-2025: I have had excellent response from PetPace technical support, however this is not a collar that will work in it's current state for Seizure monitoring. if the collar does not have wifi, your data is lost. The Android application crashes all the time, so you won't get alerts. Against my better judgement, I spent $180 on a subscription which their support assured me I could get a refund within 30 days. I've requested the refund and will update on that. I'm also sending the collar back and will update once that is complete. ... show more
