So I originally bought a dress from a boutique and after alterations, I hated it. So I scrambled to find a dress on Amazon that I thought would fit and boy did it! This dress was perfect. I typically wear a size 12, and ordered a 16 in this dress, going by the size chart. It was super long so I did have to have the length altered. This is a fabulous dress. I did end up having to take it for alterations to fit my chest better, add a bustle, and get it hemmed. It is very very long and I am almost 6’0! I ordered this on December 5th and it was supposed to arrive by January 8th or so, but I got it the other day (January 18th). After December 16th, it had absolutely no tracking info, so be prepared to not have updates at all and it will say it might be lost etc.. Pretty scary, but at least I got it in time to get alterations done as well, so order asap so you have time for the shipping and alterations or you’re setting yourself up for disaster. The dress itself is very heavy fabric, but in a good way, it does not feel cheap. Even the woman doing the alterations said it is a great product for being ordered online (the only thing she did not like was the thin straps, but they are adjustable!). Definitely measure yourself for this style, mostly your chest and waist. Your hip measurement can be off a bit because it flairs at the waist! ... show more

I was looking for a more cotton/embroider style lace, which this does look like in the photo. It's actually a more shiny traditional lace (a little scratchy). The front doesn't have as much separation at the waist as is pictured. This is a well-fitting and beautiful dress, just not the style I wanted so I'll be returning. Fits as expected and is very long!
