The 40,000 mAh makes it a bit larger and heavier than a 10,000 mAh but the trade-off of having more charges out of it before it needs a recharge is beneficial in an emergency situation. Built in cords are a great feature. The solar charging option is a reassuring backup if power stays off for an extended period of time though I understand that it takes a while to recharge with that method. It comes with a short USB to USB C cord. The flashlight comes on with an extended push of the power button so a quick bump won't turn it on in your bag. The power charge level indicator lights stay on all the time so there is a drain on the power back over time. Bought this for a week long kayak trip I took this summer. My phone does not hold a charge very well so I wanted something that could keep me charged up all week, as I use my phone for taking pictures. I liked it because it isn't too big, and it was able to be charged by solar power for the trip. It did keep my phone charged the whole trip, even after it got submerged for over 15 minutes when I flipped and ended up in the river. It was in my rain jacket pocket, which filled with water before I could get pulled out. The solar power charging doesn't seem to work now, but it still takes a charge via cord, and still holds the charge and charges my items, even several at a time, very quickly. The only downside is that I have not been able to get it to charge outdoors, or it charges so slowly it isn’t noticeable. With that out of the way I have 2 and swap charging them. These are awesome to charge up my phone w/o having to plug my phone into the wall. I can hook a couple different things into the charger to recharge at the same time. I Can throw it in my purse and charge my phone. I have flashlights, a small blender, my grandchildren’s laptops (it’s not uncommon for them to forget to bring their charger). They can sit on the couch and play while plugged into this charger. There just seems to be no end to the uses for this power bank. ... show more

Purchased this unit in October of 2023 and am about to purchase another. It simply works. Have used it to charge 2 I Phones and 1 Galaxy to 80% at Universal studios. So just imagine heat plus pictures draining the battery over a 24 hour period of one initial charge of the power bank. I loved the fact it was one charger that can be placed in a knapsack and even though it is bulky wasn't overly heavy. Have continued to use on my cruises and at the beach. If I hadn't left my original one in a locker at the Tron rollar coaster, I'd say more about the longevity. So I had something similar and someone stole it while I was working. These things are amazing. The fact that the chargers come with it, you don't know how many times I've used it in an emergency but also how many times Ive whipped it out and saved other people when they're battery is low and they need to make a call. Not having to carry 4 different cords around is great. The solar charging part is not amazing. You probably can charge it up fully after 4 days in the sun on your dashboard but I usually just charge it up at home and it can charge my device 5+ times without being charged. Hopefully someone doesn't steal this one too. Oh yeah and the price for 40k mah is great! ... show more
