For the money you get a fairly well made tool,I bought this as an experiment to see how a cheap impact would fair in a shop environment, i used it for 3 weeks daily to rotate tires,suspension and engine repair etc,my impression is that this impact has decent power and the batteries will hold a charge for quite a long time,the problem that arose was that I noticed the nose cone where the anvil protrudes would become quite warm when tackling stubborn fasteners,I disassembled the impact and found that there was a large amount of metal chips in the nose cone.this was due to the fact that the anvil blades come in direct contact with the nose cone with no thrust washer installed between the two,this is steel against pot metal and you can imagine the result,my fix was to simply flip the cone insert where the anvil slides through around so the anvil blades now contact steel instead of the cone material,this tool would be ok for general residential work but not so great for the professional mechanic ... show more

I wanted to like this impact wrench. I wanted it to have enough power to knock out basic automotive jobs. I torqued a couple of lug nuts to 95ft lbs and on a full charge this wrench could not break them loose. That was disappointing. I need a wrench with enough power to rotate tires and complete other minor repairs in my driveway. If I have to keep breaking things lose and torquing mostly by hand I probably purchased the wrong impact wrench. I might go electric. I broke down and spent the extra for the Dewalt brushless 1/2in and updated this review to share a photo of the two side by side. The Dewalt weighs 3x what the UVOL does and I have to think the power and longevity is gonna come straight from that build quality and more powerful motor. ... show more
