I am a beginner and needed something that was easy to use and durable. This was easy to use, no mixing, just use straight out of the bottle and so far everything I have used it on has been very durable. I did not notice any smell but I did wear a respirator and wore protective gear.

I was a little anxious about getting the newer formula. I am pleasantly surprised and delighted with the ease of use and the results. The viscosity is perfect. What I especially love is that are virtually no tiny bubbles. My pieces cured perfectly in my UV lamp in 180 seconds. It is also a good value for the size. Mr. Resin is the best Crystal Clear Resin I have used for my crafts. I love using it and intend to purchase more.

This was recommended by a friend. I use it to cover small paintings when I want a shiny finish that's quick to cure. I used to use a high gloss spray, but that takes DAYS to cure and it's still soft even after curing. Mr. Resin is great because it's very fast to cure and the finish is hard. Granted, I'm still not very good at applying the resin and I feel it wastes gloves and I'm not always very good at getting bubbles out. But dang, once you accidentally drop it somewhere and you let it see sunlight, it's pretty much stuck :)

The resin is great! Honestly it’s 5 star quality stuff. However the reason I give this purchase 4 stars is because it also comes with a uv light for curing. This tiny little light is worthless for anything substantial in size. Maybe if you’re putting an ultra thin coat of uv nail polish on, this thing would do the trick...but anything more than that and you should just invest in a proper curing light/setup. I got a bigger, more powerful uv light and lined the inside of a box with aluminum foil (reflective side facing out) and cut a hole in the top, large enough for the light. I can now cure this stuff in minutes. Honestly, a uv flashlight would have done a better job than this little light. That said, if you’re looking for quality uv resin, then you found it!

My sister and I make a variety of stuff, but our biggest seller is our crochet hooks. This new formula does take longer to cure, but it is stronger. The original is way more flexible. The image I have attached is with a gallon of water suspended from the 10mm hook we make. There is a noticeable difference in the flex. While the new formula does flex, and really it is unreasonable to expect 0 flex with ~8lbs suspended from it, the new formula bends less. Line for reference. There is less odor, too. Something that makes me really uneasy about using UV resins is the odor, and both the original and this new hybrid formula are great. The Hybrid has less odor overall. This resin will wrinkle a little bit, like the original. I have found this to be only noticeable if the product is 100% clear. Adding just about anything either stops the wrinkles, or distracts from them enough to not notice(which means they are small and not worthy or worrying over in colored pieces) This new formula does take around twice as long to cure as the original. We use a 4x5 grid 20W LED UV lamp in a reflective box Bubbles are a lot less, as this is indeed a much thinner resin than the original. Getting the bubbles out of the hook at the tip of our molds has always been a challenge, even with 2-part resins. This stuff is so thin it really has made our job so much more easy. It just naturally creeps into the cracks and spots you would need to tap to release air from.

I have always used the white bottle of Mr.resin UV resin and it always cured quickly and was great quality. I bought this new type hoping it would be the same and maybe a better formula- it is not. It takes forever to cure and what I was curing was only around 2 MILLIMETERS thick. I even used the Mr.resin brand UV light and still, it will not fully cure. It still feels tacky. I am very dissapointed that the formula is different and because this was so expensive. :/ wish I could return it.
