I keep a stack of bright red washcloths matching the overall decore for hand-drying in one of my bathrooms instead of hand-towels; it's more sanitary to throw in the laundry after one person uses one. As wet washcloths, these are most likely perfectly fine but their absorbency is lacking, even after having been washed a few times. The color is nice and bright. They were to replace more expensive, thicker and more absorbent washcloths for the same purpose that had faded in color after having been used for a few years. I was enticed by the low price and must admit, I should have remembered that you get what you pay for. So nice to not need to dig for wash towels or have ones to thick to ring dry with my painful hand/finger joints! Cotton so pure and simple. No more fighting for the preferred towels!! Love them. Nice size, perfect thickness for me. It’s not thin but not so thick it takes strength to ring them out. I have had juvenile idiopathic arthritis since a little kid and all of these years have created a lot of problems with my hands and fingers and and and… So towels seem like a negligible thing but not for me. These are arthritis friendly for me and nice to have plenty They come in a fitted but not suctioned shut pack folded in half. The stack is thick and it’s easy to remove a limited number and store the rest away for future replacements. We are only 2 unless company comes overnight which is rare. As a result, we have LOTS of hand towels. You can use them for other purposes like kitchen duties but we prefer them as Washing towels. They aren’t scratchy or rugged. Great quality fabric that is super soft, but it doesn't absorb water as well as I was hoping. I use stacks of washcloths in place of hand towels, so I prefer more absorbency. These wash clothes look great though. I think they will last longer than the scratchy washcloths I have used in the past.

I ordered these because many people complained about them being too thin. I prefer thin washcloths. I like thick towels, but not washcloths. And I like white ones since you can bleach them. But to me, these are not particularly thin. I'd call them average. Which is OK, just not what I expected. People also complained that the threads pulled and looked unsightly after washing. I did not experience that, tho it was not a deal breaker for me since they are not displayed anyway. As long as I can use them, I'm fine. These are not $4-6+ wash cloths as apparently some people expect. But they are very nice. With all cheaper towels you can’t use too much detergent or the fibers get tough. Back detergent and softener off and you have great item. Companies want to sell detergent so they recommend way more than needed. Look thin from package but fluff up very nicely after couple washes.
