I never write reviews, but felt I should share my experience with this product. I am a little skeptical of product claims and decided to test the product myself and confirm that it worked before the return window had passed. This way, if it didn't work, I could get my money back. I laid the pad flat on some outdoor furniture and then poured 8 ounces of water in the center of the pad. It appeared that the water spread out on the pad, but not one drop penetrated the pad. I felt the bottom of the pad to see if there was any dampness...NONE! So I highly recommend this product. I let it dry completely outside in the sunshine and then put it on my guest bed. I bought the 4 pack and placed 2 pads side by side (overlapping in the middle) on a queen mattress. Then put my regular fitted cloth mattress pad on top of this product. Then finished making the bed up. Now I can rest assured that any accidents by our grand kids or our elderly friends won't ruin our new mattress. I am going to buy more to put on all our beds...just for peace of mind. ... show more

Our beloved senior dog had struggled with hip dysplasia and arthritis for a long time and started urinating indoors fairly frequently. I blocked off the areas that I could but in her favorite areas that I couldn’t block off I got tired of constantly cleaning up pee spots. Tried disposable pet pee pads but they were a pain- wouldn’t stay in place, didn’t hold much volume, and stank up the trash. Then I discovered these and they were a godsend! I bought enough to cover most of the carpet in our room and entryway, the main places she tended to go, plus a few backups, and just washed a load (usually 3-5 XL pads) every couple of days. Laundering hints: Use a heavy soil setting with warm or hot water, and try to place pads in washing machine with the absorbent (urine-soaked) side facing outward; the side that the wash and rinse water comes in from and that rinse water will drain from while spinning. This way the urine gets the full benefit of the wash/rinse cycles. I also found that adding some bleach prevented the urine smell from coming back if I didn’t get around to putting them in the dryer for a while. We finally lost our dog a couple of months ago, but these pads made her last several months with us much easier on both her and me. Well worth the cost. ... show more

I put these pads out for an older dog who has occasional issues in the middle of the night. She pees (or sometimes poops) on the pads, and I'm able to pop the soiled pad into the wash in the morning. They wash well, and stand up to use for a long time. (I've had previous orders last for over 2 years before I needed to replace them.) So much better than the disposable pee pads! Have not used yet, but time will be soon, lol. I buy as pee pads for my chihuahua who refuses to go out at night. I like the size for her little body to make sure she is fully on the pad. These are huge and thick. I can be sure that any liquid or solids will not reach the mattress when using these pads. They wash up great, and it comes four pads so I am always sure that I have a clean one to put on the bed. Will buy again if there is ever wear out, which a question!

My giant yorkie turned 15 in July 2023, and started to leave wet spots especially when he was sleeping. These pads are light weight, and are not the same as the thicker hospital pads, of which I have a few from when I was the care giver for my Mother, for her last 10 years. I ordered these because they cover the whole length of the area my boy sleeps on (he takes up more room than I do), and I don't have to use two of the square hospital pads. They will be fine for light leaks, but probably not for full on gushers. ... show more
