I like this cable as it allows for a USB-A or USB-C connection on one end of the cable, and the USB-A adapter is dangled on the cable so you don't have to hunt around for it. I ordered the 3.3-foot version, that is not too long nor too short for a vehicle connection for a cell phone, or even your desktop. More phones have the USB-C connection and many older PCs do not (still have the USB-A connection), so this cable allows for both (USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C). The braided cord looks very durable. This is a nice cable to have on-hand.

The little adapter this cable comes with converts USB-C to USB-A. Handy when you have an older charger or device that has only USB-A. It is typically advantageous to go USB-C to C if you can, but when that's not an option, you use the attached adapter. Notes: I like that the adapter is connected to the cable with a plastic harness so you don't lose it. The adapter could be used with any USB-C cable, it is just an adapter connected to a USB-C cable. The 3 ft. cable itself is a USB-C to C cable, and it has a nice durable feel and finish. Bottom line: A bit on the expensive side, but sometimes you get what you pay for. This cable will not disappoint.

If I were born 20 years earlier I would have been a gear head. You would have found me under the hood of some souped up hotrod trying to push it harder and make it go faster. Instead I'm a whiz with a soldering iron and you would find me at the keyboard trying to push my rig to go faster by overclocking the memory & the CPU. Making your computer run its fastest isn't always about technical feats of strength. It's also about using the potential that's already built into your system. Often that means using the right peripherals & the right cables. You can have a super fast external SSD but it'll run slowly if the cable or the computer port you're connected to is slower than the drive. It's called a bottleneck and it hinders you from getting the most for your system. You can't rapid charge your phone if the charger or the cable doesn't have the potential. If you're still using the charging block & lightening cable that came with your iPhone 7 you're not rapid charging your phone and it's taking you longer to charge your phone than it needs to. My wife's iPhone was charging very slowly until I replaced her charging block with a 20W PD (Power Delivery) 2.0 block and a cable made to delivery that 20W to her phone. Now it charges totally in less than an hour. This cable will handle just about anything you can throw at it. It'll handle 100W of power which will charge almost any phone on the market today except for a few exotics that can charge at more than 100W. Certainly if you have an iPhone or the normal assortment of Androids like Samsung or Google this cable will more than suffice. In the data transfer area this cable is head and shoulders above the normal. At 20 Gbps it far exceeds any main stream needs. I tested this cable with an SSD capable of about 10 Gbps matched with a USB C 3.1 Gen 2 port and it was greased lightening transferring several folders of music back and forth in a matter of seconds. This cable is the real deal. I'm quite satisfied with it.

This USB C cable wasn't quite what I was expecting. I didn't read the description closely enough and thought it would allow me to plug two USB C devices into one charging cable. It actually has an attached adapter to allow you to change one end from USB C to USB A. I kept it because it's still useful. The cord is heavyweight and seems durable.
