The media could not be loaded. I was a bit worried that I was choosing the wrong case, however this one worked flawlessly for my 06 Pilot! The installation is pretty straightforward. You need to break out both the key blade abd transponder chip from the original housing. The transponder chip was a bit difficult, but I was able to get it out. Once you have the pieces, everything fits into place. The plastic collar that goes on the key blade has a snug fit. Pat attention to the direction, as I did see other reviews where this was done backwards. I did also put some tape around the transponder chip to keep it from rattling. Once assembled, it feels durable and looks great! Overall a pretty simple process to fixing broken key housings.

These fit perfectly for my 2010 Honda Civic four-door sedan. It was easy to switch out from my old broken keycase. Apart from the missing Honda emblem, there is no way to tell if these are original or duplicate. I also like the small plastic supporting piece at the base of the key. Hope it helps with endurance of the case. Took this opportunity to also switch out the batteries so I hope my key is good to go for few more years.

My old key case cracked and broke and I was walking around with my trashy taped up key. Ordered this shell as I needed a replacement. The installation took 5-10 minutes and mostly took that long because I had to watch some tutorials. I did have trouble figuring out how to reassemble the fob back together. The key portion does need to be SLID into the non button side (sliding from the top down) then the 2 halves can be snapped back in place. My 2008 Honda CRV key fit perfectly. Some reviewers mentioned that the key holes don't entirely line up and they had to drill or enlarge the whole for it to line up. I did not have to do that at least with my fob. However, I initially attempted to re-use the OEM screw that came in my old fob but it was slightly thicker than the one provided and could not be used. I did end up using the screw that came in the kit and it did fit, however once I applied more pressure to tighten the screw (which you do need to put some downward pressure) the screw began to strip. I had to stop. The screw did go in well enough that it was sturdy and secure but it sticks out just a hair and isn't as flush as the original. I could purchase a silicone cover to 1. protect the key fob and 2. bring that smoothness back so it's not a deal breaker All in all, it's not a 100% perfect fit but it is a great fit for a Honda CRV and for $5.50 it is absolutely worth it. Going to a dealer or anywhere else would have been way more costly and honestly not needed. The only con I had was the screw quality, therefore 4 stars.

I see people complaining about the key not fitting in the case bcz the key is not meant to be just placed between the covers. It has a very well thought sliding mechanism for the key to fit in the shell case that makes it 2x stronger. The plastic is very durable, making it a great long-term replacement. It saved me from buying an expensive new key fob, and the installation was quick and hassle-free. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a budget-friendly and reliable solution for a worn-out key fob shell!

This product works great if you still have the screw from your old key fob. It comes with a new screw, but it is not the right screw to work with the key. My old screw was broken or missing so I had to order a new screw from somewhere else to get this to work. I don’t understand why they don’t include the right screw with it.

I am a 72 year old with a 2010 Honda Insight. The key fob casing broke and I thought I was going to need an expensive trip to a dealer. Not so! I bought this item and I was able to swap out the contents of the old fob into this new one. I did need a little help pulling the key all the way through the new key holder. I couldn’t snap the new fob closed because it wasn’t pushed in all the way. Got some help with that and it fit like a glove. I highly recommend this product!
