These padded moving mats were just what I was looking for. If they had them, I would have bought bigger ones, but these are probably easier to handle. The padding is a little think for really fine furniture, but it is sufficient for most applications. You can always use two layers.

These cargo blankets are great for much more than just moving furniture! They are excellent sound absorption for the home studio recording artist on a budget. They are easy to put up/take down and very affordable. They cover a lot of space and stop the uncontrolled bouncing and ricocheting of acoustic sound. They improved my recording by 100%. They are also good for drummers to baffle their sound. They are not for sound proofing but it is easier to soundproof your area if you first control it. Highly recommended.
