The tube is 80% air, so not a good value. I do like the oil and it does leave a stain when the oil quickly wears off. The espresso scent is nice but the supposed strawberry scent is completely unscented.

The Urban Decay Lip Toy pH Staining Lip Oil in the Caked Up shade is a very enjoyable lip product, especially if you're looking for hydration and shine rather than intense color. The formula feels comfortable on the lips and delivers a glossy finish without the sticky texture that many lip glosses tend to have. The Caked Up shade is essentially a clear shimmer with a subtle vanilla sugar scent. The shimmer adds a nice touch of brightness without looking overly glittery, making it easy to wear on its own or layered over other lip products. The scent is pleasant and sweet without being overpowering. One of the standout features is the moisturizing feel. The oil leaves lips feeling soft and conditioned, and it remains comfortable for an extended period. It works well as both a beauty product and a lip-conditioning treatment throughout the day. The product comes in a typical "lip-balm"-style tube, with an angled tip for easy application. The reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that the staining effect is fairly subtle in this particular shade. Since it is marketed as a pH-reactive staining lip oil, some users may expect a more noticeable color transformation or longer-lasting tint. With the low-stain Caked Up version, the effect is present but quite understated, making the gloss and hydration the primary benefits rather than the stain itself. That said, if you approach it as a high-quality lip oil with a beautiful shine, comfortable wear, and a touch of shimmer, it performs very well. I am reviewing the Urban Decay Lip Toy pH Staining Lip Oil, a lip caring oil that promises up to 24-hour hydration and a pH-reactive stain that provides a high-shine, non-sticky gloss. I ordered the pink shade and was excited to try it out, especially since it reacts to my own pH levels. My experience with this Urban Decay product was overwhelmingly positive. The product is fun to use, smells amazing, feels wonderful, and looks even better. I was pleasantly surprised by the color. The last time I tried a pH product, it was so bright and bold that it made me feel a little clownish. This time, the pink shade complemented my fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes perfectly. I tried to take a picture of just my lips, but it wasn’t the best quality because it was too dark. I’ll include it anyway. The scent of this product is so good that you almost want to eat it! Of course, you know you can’t. Another favorite feature is the hydration. I know it’s infused with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and vitamin E, but I can genuinely feel that it’s hydrating my lips. I need that. What I love about lip stain is when it has endurance - when it stays put. This product does just that. It goes on glossy, and several hours later, my lips still have that beautiful pink tint. I like this so much that I visited the brand’s page and bookmarked it. For me, this is definitely a keeper.
At the time of my review in May 2026, the product’s price was $24.00. I find this price reasonable considering the quality and features it offers. While some lip products cost less, others are significantly more expensive. The product’s pH-reactive feature, hydrating properties, ability to meet its promises, and the fact that it exceeded my expectations, is why it has earned my full star review.

Urban Decay has been making high quality products for years and this is no exception. This is a nice lip stain oil for a lot of shine without being too thick and sticky. This color Fresita works on almost any skin tone and looks good on my light olive skin or my tanned darker olive skin in the summer. Not only does it give you shine and color it also helps soften your lips with hyaluronic acid, vitamin e and ceramides. I only use this on occasion but my lips do feel soft after wearing it, but it won’t help with severely chapped winter lips. The product smells like strawberries which is a plus or a minus depending on your vibe. I like it personally. If I’m not eating or drinking the stain lasts quite a while and it feels fairly lightweight while it’s on. At $24 it is a little expensive but it is a high quality product from a trusted brand, at this price point I likely wouldn’t buy again, but for around $15 I would.
