I live in SoCal where (lately) even though it is December, it is still relatively warm (70s-80's). This is a perfect lightweight shawl to have when you don't want to wear a sweater or lightweight jacket...it "just" takes the chill off. It is for casual wear. This one (that I received) is true to the pictures above in color, texture, etc. This IS like a thin stadium-like blanket, but nicer and more easily warn with the v-neck cut out, than a blanket. Due to the acrylic/polyester combination, it is very soft. I wouldn't call it a poncho, but that's just my definition of what a poncho would be like. This IS from China, so keep that in mind. The care instructions read as follows (I am typing verbatim... The misspellings are not mine!): Urban CoCo Thank you for choosing Washing signs: Maximum washing temperature 30 C Do not dry clean Do not bleach Can not insolate (not sure what that was supposed to mean?) Dry by line in airing Medium temperature ironing Seperated from other color clothes washing Note the size in the ad... If you are not sure how it will fit you, take a lightweight thin blanket and pin it to the size listed and try it on. I am 5'4" and wear a 1x and I still have plenty of room and don't feel it is too long.

I got the "series 2 - purple" color; it is exactly as pictured. Love the print and colors, very pretty. Soft lightweight material (looks heavier than it actually is); well-made. It is OS (one size), on me it was huge (I'm 5'1") it looked way too big, like a big blanket. Read the description carefully, it is a shawl...it is open in the front and it has no sleeves.

**updated 1-11-19** Love this even more than I did a year ago. It is so versatile. I work in an area that varies in temp from 60 to 74. Frequently adding layers and removing. I have my winter coat on when the wrap is not enough, and then will fold it up and lay it on my lap. Its amazing. When I wear it it is long enough that it comes over my shoulders and can drape over my knees, keeping my lap warm too. Nothing negative to say about this at all. Love it! ************** when I got this, I was not thrilled initially, because it felt so thin. however, after I washed and dried it, it seemed to fluff up a bit, and goodness, is it warm! it's deceiving! I recently started a new job, and the cube where I work is directly under a overactive a/c vent - blowing massive icy air on me during the day. I have been wearing a sweater, a heavy fall jacket, and a light jacket - many times all at once, to make it tolerable. I ordered this, and was able to wear just one jacket and this, before it got TOO warm - and I ended up being able to take it off. today was the first day in 2 weeks I felt warm enough to not need at least one jacket during the day (This helped bring up my core temp enough that I was ok after wearing it for a short time, instead of trying to bring up the temp all day long). Highly recommend!
