It's not overly thick or warm. I wear it while biking when it's cold and it's enough to break the wind and let my breath heat my face without producing condensation. There's also plenty of material, so it doesn't feel too stretched or tight and it holds in place well.

It’s alright & I’ll keep it, but not really worth $20 in my opinion. The openings don’t have any stitching but the fabric seems like it doesn’t fray so I guess that’s alright. The inside is white so if you wear it like a balaclava, the part around your mouth will be white unless you double it which makes it harder to breath through & you loose neck protection.. It’s a tad short so if you wear it as a cap, I can't tie a knot. I wish it was about 6” longer. It fits fine most ways but way too tight as a headband. Fabric seems durable and should stand up to washing unlike other brands. ... show more

I work at an outdoor venue both morning and nights in the valley and I use the beck gaiter at all times! it comes in handy when the temperature changes during the brink of dawn or the cold nights. I do wear glasses and having them being fogged up when I fully wear it can be annoying but it is lightweight and breathable which is a huge plus. I bought this for a hike and I think it fits great and looks just like it’s advertised, not too tight on my face, stretches as needed, and with adequate breathability. It didn’t really do anything special for keeping my face warm, but that is to be expected with how lightweight the item is.
