I recently picked up these floating shelves for a home decoration project. We found a nice spot on one of our walls, and these shelves seemed like a perfect fit. What I liked immediately was the look of the wood grain. It's got a nice, natural appearance that fits well with our decor. The hardware fitting snugly inside the shelves was a big plus. For shelves like these, it's important that the rails mount securely, and they did just that. The hardware that came with the shelves was surprisingly good. It wasn't the typical cheap hollow wall anchors, but more robust, screw-in type anchors with sizable sheetrock screws. I usually use my own hardware for projects like this, specifically spread-behind hollow wall anchors, but this time I mixed the provided hardware with my own. Despite the shelves coming with a small level, I still preferred using my laser level for better precision. It's a handy tool to have for anyone doing a lot of home projects. I really liked that I could arrange the shelves in a staggered look. It worked well with the space we had and added a unique touch to the room. Overall, I'm pretty happy with these shelves. These floating shelves come in a pack of three but I've only installed two shelves, so far. I first installed the recommended drywall anchors that come with this set but it seemed a bit wonky once I put the shelves up. I then put up my own metal drywall anchors and the shelves seemed even wonkier. At this point, I was pretty fed up and wanted to quit. BUT at the last minute, when I was at the end of my rope, I tried installing the anchors that come with this set that are only meant for cement but I figured what do I have to lose? and they were PERFECT!! The shelves are very sturdy now. I haven't decorated them the way I want. So far, I am using them for my cosmetics and I have been applying my cosmetics more regularly since they are right in front of me. The plants and the towel bar pictured don't come with this set but I love them all together! Overall, I would say this set is the perfect floating shelves IF you first and only use the drywall anchors meant for cement, you will have the easiest time setting this whole thing up :) good luck on your decorating ventures! ... show more

They are ok… They look nice from a distance. They come with good hardware. They are easy to install, but in a small bathroom it is easy to notice the flaws; very lightly painted, easy to scratch, not tight to wall and have a small wobble to them. The screws underneath hold the shelves but they’re black screws on a white shelf and the holes are very visible. If they just had a plastic cap to cover the holes it would be fine. One of the pictures was before we hung the wall paper the others after. ... show more

We have floating shelves in several rooms and these are as good as you’ll find. The shelves are solid, the brackets are nice and sturdy, and we are partial to the rustic black finish. The set even comes with a mini level to ensure they are installed properly. The instructions are easy to read and nicely laid out. (The only quibble is that the plugs and screws provided are way too big. Presumably that is to ensure a heavy weight capacity, but it seems like overkill.) ... show more
