We LOVE this swing! I wish I had had it from the time my daughter was born, but we only got it when she was 6 months. That being said, we have gotten a ton of use out of it as we use it daily. She is currently almost 10 months old and weighs 19lbs, so we still have a lot of time left to enjoy this before she reaches the Max weight of 25lbs. Repetitive motion is great vestibular input- and it helps relax babies. We use this chair before naps, and if she has trouble settling at night. Movement really does wonders to calm an settle babies, and my daughter has really enjoyed this chair. Sometimes we read books to her while she is in it, and she loves that. She like all of the motion settings, she doesn't seem to have a particular favorite. You have a LOT of options with this swing, the speed controls are great and we usually get it going full speed for her- when she was smaller we set it slower. It is a bit loud, but its still quieter than the swing we used to have and the noise hasn't been an issue. It comes with four songs that are short and loop so it can get really repetitive really fast, but we don't use the music often. You can also connect your phone via Bluetooth to the speakers and play whatever you want, but the quality of the speaker isn't particularly great, so we rarely do that. I love the color of the fabric, and how easy it was to set up. There is a huge range in terms of positioning the seat, you can go from super reclined to fully upright very easily, so you'll definitely be able to find a position your baby likes. The little mobile is cute, and my 3 month old nephew LOVES staring at it. My daughter doesn't really notice it so I usually remove it when she's in the chair, and that is super easy to do. Overall I am SUPER happy with this swing. UPPAbaby bought mamaRoo and integrated their tech into its products, so now you get the best motion tech with the high end build quality of UPPAbaby and that makes for a really wonderful baby swing. ... show more

We already have a toddler and are trying for our second, so I wanted to invest in a fresh swing for the new baby. I had a $100 swing gifted to us for our first and we swore by it. Our little one was soothed so well so the it. The UPPAbaby Mamaroo Smart Swing definitely feels high-end — the design is sleek, the motions are smooth, and the Bluetooth feature is super convenient when your hands are full. It’s also nice having the newborn insert included so it’s ready to use from day one. That said, the price is definitely on the higher side, and like a lot of parents mention, it really depends on the baby. Some babies love the motion and are soothed right away, while others don’t take to it at all. I’d say it’s amazing if your little one enjoys it — but if not, it’s a pricey piece of gear that might not get much use. Overall, it’s beautifully made and perfect for multitasking when you’ve got more than one child to juggle and quality is excellent, but just keep in mind it’s not a guaranteed hit with every baby. ... show more

This is by far the highest caliber baby swing our family has used. It's almost like a full-body pacifier. It sure makes babysitting easier. And here I thought that my niece loved me for my personality in the way I rock her. But now I've been replaced by a baby swing that's so intelligent, it's practically AI (especially with the app controls which are easy to use). The 5 motion choices and speeds are so smooth, engaging, and soothing for her, she falls asleep easily when she's ready to mellow out. The tilt function is sturdy and safe, supporting her in her sleep or when she wants to sit up more and be involved. She's perfectly comfortable with the safety straps. It cleans up easily - my sister's had the cushion in the wash several times already. We picked this up for when we babysit our youngest Granddaughter and it's far exceeded our expectations. The multiple settings provide gentle movements that would settle down even the most fussy baby. It's supper easy to use with their app, and even easier if you pair it to Alexa (which we already had). As advertised, it was easy to put together, and the car seat like straps give us a good level of comfort that it's safe for the baby even when moving.
