The first time I replaced the filter on my TP01 I sprang for the name-brand filter (way more expensive than this). The filter that came with the thing had lasted a couple years but the name-brand replacement only lasted about a year. Now, it's quite possible that I just used it more. But I figured I might as well try the generic filter this time and see how long that lasts.
