I ordered this 4-pack of grey pre-cut tennis balls for my classroom, and it was long overdue! One of my students constantly pulls their chair back and forth throughout the day, leaving serious scratch marks on the floor. I specifically chose the grey option over traditional yellow because it looks clean and neutral without screaming into my eyes or drawing unnecessary attention in the middle of a lesson. They are actually a little bit smaller than regular tennis balls, which keeps them from looking overly bulky on furniture. Because they come pre-cut, I didn't have to risk slicing my hands open with a box cutter. The instructions mention removing the old rubber feet on walkers before pushing these on, but since standard classroom chairs don't have those rubber tips, it took a bit of extra pushing to install them—though once they are on, they stay on securely! These pre-cut walker tennis balls are a simple but very practical mobility aid. These are not standard tennis balls, which are cheaper to produce because they’re so common. These are specially designed for the purpose of adding to walkers or attaching to the bottom of chairs. They contain an internal plastic structure and somehow look as though they are originally manufactured in halves and then connected into whole spheres. Instead of the standard two-cut (four flap) holes, these have four-cut (eight flap) holes that can shape around a walker leg in a more precise way. In any case, they easily pressed on to the walker leg and have held up well with time.

I was intrigued by these because we have always been frustrated with the tennis balls we buy for Mom's walker. It doesn't take a keen observer to realize tennis balls you buy for walkers are purposely made with less felt than real tennis balls so they wear out faster. I admired the honesty this company had -- they admit that these balls don't fair well on outdoor surfaces likes pavement. None of the balls we've bought do. I like that these are reinforced, but I didn't see any extra thickness on the felt part. They slip on well like any other balls. Time will tell for certain if they last any longer, but I don't have my hopes up. Reinforcement on the inside isn't the primary need to extend the life of these tennis balls. Extra thick felt on the outside would. I'm still searching for a company that will do that. I can't say I'd recommend these over any others out there.

These grey walker feet are a simple upgrade over the traditional tennis-ball solution. They are purpose-built for the job, fit securely, and slide smoothly without looking like someone attacked a pair of tennis balls with a utility knife. The construction is more engineered than the improvised alternative, with a durable plastic interiorand a neutral grey body that blends reasonably well with the walker. They look like an actual component rather than an adaptation. At about $10 for a set of four, I think the price is fair. That's enough for two walkers if you're only replacing the rear feet, or a complete set if your application uses all four. Nothing complicated here—they work as expected, look considerably less goofy than tennis balls, and seem like a sensible value.

These "Dekafri Upgraded Tennis Balls for Walkers" are awesome. I remembered two years ago when I left rehab, they gave me a silver walker, and the thing drove me crazy with the scraping noise it made going across the floors. So, this year I planned and even got the gray to match the walker. The only drawback is you have to be pretty strong to insert the "precut balls but I didn't far to go to find someone. Popped them on and noise gone instantly only when I left the hospital after surgery, I had put two of them on "their" walker which stayed behind so I was very happy that Four Balls were included. So now I have the other two on MY WALKER and when I get up in the middle of the night, I don't wake up the whole household. Highly recommended.
