I ordered this and was worried it would be cheap Chinese metal, with proper gear meshing on my Xmaxx, setting it manually and not using Xmaxx default it works perfectly! I would recommend settting your own gear mesh as I had slippage with stock Xmaxx gear settings

I put this gear in my X-MAXX 8S. Every tooth on it bent over in like 5 mins. Car could not even drive back to me. Don't waste you money on this gear it not worth it at all!!!!! Also something weird it has a "HOT RACING" name on it??? I have had HOT RACING spur gears before and this has never happened with those. ... show more

    • Set the mesh properly
This is one tough gear. Be sure to set the mesh correctly or it will eat the pinion gear. I ended up setting the mesh perfectly with a 16T in my drive bomber (xo1 on hoons). It rips like crazy.

Would not recommend, didn’t even last 2 minutes! I was running 23/46 and on Traxxas recommend Pin out for this gear. So I doubt it was a user error more like a manufacturer junk.
