I ordered this because I liked the saying printed on it and thought it would make a fun towel to keep in the sunporch at our lake cabin. But I was disappointed to see that the fabric is much more like a blanket than a beach towel. The microfiber fabric is very thin. And because it's microfiber, it's also not very absorbent. Instead, it actually repels water at first. Once the fabric finally absorbs the water, it then acts like a sponge. Because the fabric is so thin, it does dry quickly. The overall size of the blanket is nice. It works great for laying on the beach at the lake, or for wrapping around your shoulders while out on the boat in the evenings. The stitching around the edges is done well and the loop for hanging the towel is also securely attached. Overall, I think this blanket will work good at the cabin for cool evenings, but I'm not sure we'll use it as a towel.

I have had a trusty microfiber towel I travel with for many years. I was looking to retire it and get a new one, and thought this Pit and Barrel towel would do the trick. Unfortunately, it didn't. It's not great material, a little too thick to be really portable. and for no real reason. The print on the one side has a crease down the middle which is visible from the back of the towel. This towel just isn't of high quality. I unfortunately, would pass on this towel.

This towel will be a perfect "extra" for those that visit us to swim that forget to bring a towel. It IS lightweight microfiber & not heavier terry. For that reason it will dry faster & since it's microfiber it'll also absorb quickly. That's a win-win in my book! My chlorine pool is definitely "Saltwater & shark free"!! I give the quality & absorbency 5 Stars. Again, before ordering, be certain that you're in the market for a THIN towel at this price ~ If so then I recommend this purchase!

If you're looking for a beach/lake/park throw that is easy to pack and carry, is absorbent and can be used as a towel or blanket, this is a great solution. We take our Labrador on our boat and to the lake and this is PERFECT for drying her off. I got this color/style because the red clay here in the south is everywhere, so this helps conceal the staining/coloring of the soil here. This is a fantastic towel for backpacking or to have on hand in your car or boat.

We got this for the dogs’ paws when they come in from the rain. The towel is so large we use it for their heads and backs first and then do paws. The color hides the dirt a bit and this is as good a microfiber towel as any! It absorbs the water into it like a champ! It is a bit smaller than my microfiber bath towel but much much bigger than my microfiber hair towels. Kind of perfect for the 70 and 50 lb dogs we have.
