I absolutely LOVE this crushed peppermint! I mainly use it I. My coffee (my cheap version of fancy coffee, coffee, a little cocoa and 2 teaspoons of this crushed peppermint to make my own peppermint mocha:). I don’t like the peppermint syrups for coffee because it upsets my stomach. Anyways, one bag lasts me 8-9 months and I was getting low. And I knew from experience if you wait till close to Christmas, it will be sold out. So this time when I went to order they were having a special of buy on get one free. Score! I’m now well stocked for at least a year! This is really the best tasting crushed peppermint I’ve found. Some others I’ve tried had an almost menthol peppermint flavor (three those bags away). This has that classic peppermint candy taste, is always finely crushed, in a resealable bag and I’ve never had trouble with it clumping or sticking together. This is like my 4 & 5th bag of it and it won’t be my last😃. If you need crushed peppermint, this is the one you should buy.

This is a great shortcut to many peppermint recipes. Over the years, I have made dozens and dozens of batches of peppermint bark. Over those years, I have made a mess of my kitchen trying to break up candy canes. I have smashed my fingers and wreaked blades in the pursuit of crushed peppermint candies. This year I skipped all that FUN and just bought crushed peppermint. This peppermint is great tasting and easy to cook with.

I gave these a try when my usual brand was out of stock. The price can’t be beat. The flavor is much stronger than the others so I use about half as much. The only downside I have is how slow they are to dissolve in hot liquid; these stick to the spoon in a clump and I have to let them set for a good 5-10 minutes then reheat my tea or coffee. With the other brand they dissolved before the sugar did, definitely not these. So now I heat a bit of milk first, let them dissolve then make my coffee or tea. Not sure how they perform in baking, but will do a small test batch and carefully bite into it. Still, a great product.
