I bought these seats for a custom project, and they've exceeded my expectations in just about every way. The built-in sliding tracks make it easy to adjust the seat forward and backward, and the tracks themselves can be moved in or out by loosening a couple of bolts. That made it incredibly easy to adapt them to my custom seat mounts, and I can see them fitting a wide variety of applications. The adjustable armrests and headrest are a great addition (I hadn't installed them yet when I took my photos), and they make the seat even more comfortable. The reclining backrest is another feature I really like. You can lean it back for comfort, fold it forward to access the area behind the seat, or leave it folded forward to help keep the seat cooler and drier when it's parked outside. For the price, I honestly don't think these can be beat. They look great, they're surprisingly comfortable, and they have far more adjustment than I expected. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another set for a future project.

Update: Customer support was excellent and I was sent a new seatbelt, and it works perfectly. This seat is still hard to install, but it is well worth the trouble. This is a high quality seat which is very comfortable and much safer than most. It would deserve five stars if it had been designed to be more flexible in installation options. Also, in my case, the seat belt retraction mechanism failed on the first day. I put this on my Ariens Edge zero turn mower. The old seat is shown in the first picture and the new seat (reviewed here) is shown in the second picture. While not obvious, the original Ariens seat was uncomfortable, provided poor back support and was designed for people of heights 5'10" or shorter. I had the seat installed as far back as possible, and was still much too forward. The new seat provides excellent forward-back options, and as if clear from the two pictures, the new seat is much further back. The ability to adjust both the seat angle and the forward position is a key to this seat. The seat itself is vastly more comfortable as well. I can work for a full day without getting tired. The seat belt is excellent, but the return mechanism broke and now the seat belt will only partially retract. So I just keep it clipped in place, and release the clip and put it on when needed. It helps significantly when you are working on sloped hills which are numerous on my property. Installation was difficult because the seat required modifications to fit on my Ariens. The lever which allows adjustment of the seat angle bumped into the side of the mower which caused the seat to release. I used a sawsall to chop it off, and now when I want to adjust the seat angle, I need to grab the pliars. It was a poor design to have it so low in position. The key observation is that this seat is mch more comfortable and more flexible in positioning than the original. I also think it looks better.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The 4-pin to 2-pin safety switch adjustment was super easy, took only minutes and the seat safety mechanism is working perfectly on my Kubota Z411 KW 48” cut zero turn lawnmower. I purchased Seatin‘s suspension kit and also purchased a new seat from them at the same time. Their customer service was extraordinary and both parts were top notch. My new puppies had shredded the seat on my zero turn mower and Kubota’s price (parts only, no labor) for a replacement seat and suspension kit was $1,101.26. SEATIN’S total price for a suspension kit AND a new seat was $397.87 and shipping was free. So I saved $703.39 by choosing SEATIN’S suspension kit and seat over Kubota’s and Seatin’s seat was better quality AND looked uber cool to boot. RARELY have I experienced such courteous, VERY knowledgeable, prompt, professional and genuinely-caring customer service. I am a perfectionist, extremely detailed oriented and have NEVER performed ANY type maintenance or repair whatsoever on my Kubota nor any other machine for that matter. I always left such tasks to my husband. But now I don’t have a husband and that being true I unexpectedly found myself contacting their customer service department time and again. Each and every time they always responded promptly, professionally, politely and most importantly with excellent detailed instructions, pictures and even videos for me as needed. One of the hurdles I feared crossing was the fact that my Kabota had a 4-pin safety switch mechanism and SEATIN’S seat came with a 2-pin safety switch mechanism but that ended up being a snap. All I had to do was remove the male end of Seatin’s 2-pin safety switch and replace it with the male end of Kubota’s 4-pin switch from my old Kabota seat. And my 4-pin, male end, from my old Kabota seat fit perfectly into the area where Seatin’s 2-pin switch was. So in a nut shell, I simply popped out Seatin’s 2-pin male part and replaced it with Kubota’s 4-pin male part (from my old seat) and voilà! My new Seatin seat looks great, is comfortable and my safety switch feature is working perfectly as designed. The attached video shows me taking 4-pin male part from my old Kubota seat and putting it on the bottom of my new Seatin seat. Before filming began, I had already popped out Seatin’s 2-pin male part. It pops out easily no tools required and as you will see in the video you can replace it with the 4-pin part from your former Kubota seat the same way - you just slip it in no tools required. Last tip … in the video I show the contact lid being placed with the concave portion of the lid against the foam, and as it turns out the way it worked seamlessly was by using the lid with the concave portion over the contact switch. The switch needs a little bit of, “dome area“. So in the video you will see that I had it right to begin with and should not have turned it around.

I installed this seat onto my Bad Boy Maverick 60" mower. The quality seems good; it is certainly comfortable. The headrest was what caught my attention. It is as nice as I'd thought! No more whiplash from rough terrain! My original Bad Boy seat had weathered five years and more than 1,000 hours of use. The material was still in great shape, but 40% of the plywood seat base had rotted out. Naturally, as this is a generic seat, it did not fit my Maverick precisely. I also installed an adjustable spring tensioner in conjunction with this seat. Without it, the back adjustment arm would block the engine speed control to the right of the seat on the tractor, and the rail arm would have been so low on the seat plate that it would have prevented it from tilting forward for access to the battery. In fairness, I mounted the seat 1.5" offset to the right to allow better clearance for the brake lever on the left. Note to prospective buyers: attaching the seat rails can be tricky. I put the bolts pointing down to avoid blocking the rails. I even had to forgo flat washers, so tight was the fit! Getting to the bolt heads inside the rails was the hard part! I found that a swan neck closed-end wrench worked best. The nuts are more accessible, either under the spring tensioner mount or the seat plate. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome. It was far less expensive than the OEM seat and appears to be of better quality. Only time will prove that out, but in the meantime, I'm far more comfortable while I mow.

We got these for a recreational vehicle. Lots of time spent in the woods, on varying terrain. Back support and seat cushion are pretty high on our list of wants. The back support is there and we’ll have to see how our fannies feel after a long day’s ride. 😉 We like that the seat is much longer than other tractor seats we’ve tried. Most of them hit us about mid-thigh (or less). These come much closer to our knees. They are much more comfortable than seats we’ve had in the past. They are adjustable and we really like that about them too. They appear to be very well made. Time will tell how they hold up but our guess is that they’ll do great.

I bought this seat for my Kubota 50hp L5030 tractor to replace my original seat which was falling apart. Overall I am very pleased but I do wish that some sort of instructions were provided to help for the installation. I am not sure if I did it correctly but it seemed to work out and was not too difficult. I removed the two bolts holding the original seat and removed the seat, removed the safety switch at the bottom and taped it closed so the tractor could still start, removed the two springs and used the protruding bolts (that had been used for the springs) to attach the bottom of the new seat (the “tracks”). I then adjusted the corresponding rails (the width) at the bottom of the seat so that the seat tracks could slide on the tracks. They were a little difficult to slide but I was able to eventually slide the seat back. It does not adjust easily the way I installed it but it works fine for me. I placed the rails as far back as I could in order to fit the seat. It took me about two hours to install but I could have done it in an hour if I had some instructions. It saved me 300-400 dollars compared to an OEM seat (I also needed a new seat belt) and it is way more comfortable than the original seat.
