  • Perfect fit for my Toyota Corolla 2007
I am not a mechanic but after watching a couple of YouTube videos on how to install it it was a plug and play.

  • In little 4 bangers like mine, It's a tight squeeze to get it ...
Comes with everything you need. Make sure to look at your manual to calculate how much additional oil you need to put into the compressor. My AC was out in my 03 Corolla for a year due to the clutch beginning to seize. My shop quoted me 1,800 for the job (which did include the whole system, not just what is in the kit) and every other shop in town I called wanted between 3 and 4k for the job. In little 4 bangers like mine, It's a tight squeeze to get it out, but an overall easy job. I'd suggest a little belt lube. My serpentine belt is fine but it did squeak a little bit for the first week or so. I think we had the job done in about 3 or 4 hours with me and a friend working on it. Make sure to have your shop empty out the refrigerant for you before working on it. When you drive, it will re-pressurize a little bit. Put on some gloves and take a screw driver to the main valve and drain that, then to the secondary if you have one, then you'll be ready to disconnect. If there is enough refrigerant to create a cloud or freeze you through your gloves, take it back to the shop. After installing the system don't turn your AC on or if you have a Corolla avoid using any fans at all (9th gen Corolla's fans will kick the compressor on) and take it back to your shop for a refill. The drain and refill will probably run you $100 on top of the cost of this compressor kit. This will ensure your whole system is at the right pressure so you don't have to worry about the compressor going out on you again. ... show more

  • Bolted right up to our 2005 Toyota Corolla
Added included oil, bolted this on then off to Firestone to run the 90 minute recharge process...saved a ton doing it this way. The drier cartridge was easy to change out (need a 14mm hex socket on the Corolla).... blowing cold air again!

  • this product is defective
we purchased this and had it professionally installed. .In 3 months time the "receiver dryer" is leaking and stopping cold air circulation. Consequently the entire new unit we purchased is useless . We need a total replacement.
