I ordered the white gown. The most important thing to know is that the 100% polyester fabric is light and very sheer. If you wear dark clothing underneath this white gown, it will definitely show through, so you need to plan your outfit accordingly. The overall build quality is adequate for the price point. Out of the package, there were a few loose threads that needed to be snipped, but all of the seams were intact and securely sewn. The included mortarboard cap fits my large head perfectly. Based on the adjustable design, I think it would easily fit smaller heads without an issue as well. This is exactly what it looks like: a basic, shiny graduation set. It will work perfectly fine for a ceremony as long as you wear light colors underneath, and I will definitely use it someday for a costume. ... show more

This is a great cap and gown. I had to order another because the last one did not sit right on males heads, this cap is stretchy in the back enough to sit tight but not pop off. The gown is shiny but black and the zipper is decent quality. The price is perfect and once again I am shocked at how good this gown is sewn together. When I ordered I did not expect it to be this great. Shipping did take a little while but in the end it was worth the price. This shiny graduation cap and gown set isn't good. It stayed wrinkled from being shipped. The shininess is way too shiny. The zipper is okay, but snags too much. The size is the right size. However the color "white" looks more like pearl because of the shine. I can't recommend this item.

Really impressed with this cap and gown set. The material has a nice shine to it. It fit true to size and draped well, which made it look great in photos. The cap sat comfortably and stayed in place without needing constant adjustment. Everything arrived on time and packaged well, with no wrinkles that couldn’t be easily smoothed out. Perfect option if you want something that looks polished without spending a fortune. Would absolutely recommend. It is not as thick as some I have seen but it is not see through and looks nice. It is plenty thick for warm weather but if I had to guess it is about the same thickness as a football jersey. I have worn caps and gowns that are twice as thick.
