A nice throw-back version to the early 70s and long hours (hours!) of torture learning proper form w/Jian and Dao. It is close enough to the classic construction that I am sure it will break-in correctly (and of course, be completing destroyed if you wear it outside) That’s the good. The not so good, but survivable, is the size ordered vs size delivered which was a 4.4 (waaay to small) which was not was ordered and not even an available selection. that being said, mistakes happen and the cost to ship return and cost to ship replacement is not justified by the shoes actual cost. As with almost everyone else in my tai chi class, I had to order a pair and they ended up being too large because it was my normal size shoe. So I reordered one half size down, and the fit is perfect. Really these shoes are so lightweight and inexpensive, I never expected them to be as comfortable and to fit as well as they do. These shoes/slippers are good for tai chi or qigong if you are on a uncarpeted indoor floor. The sole is soft and flexible. I don't recommend them for use outside, or for tai chi on a carpeted floor. They are more comfortable with socks than without socks, and are good as house slippers.

Bought for T’ai Chi class. Correct size but way too wide in the heel. I glued in several layers of heel protectors and wear very thick socks but heels still slide up and down. The soles are thick and extremely stiff which adds to the problem. Not recommended unless you have very wide feet! Quality was good otherwise. ... show more

very well made with more durable canvas fabric, flexible, and super impressive sole which is several layers thicker and more reinforced than every other single shoe I've seen. Inside and out I t this is the real macoy, you can wear this both for martial arts and just with jeans at the Cafe. Men or women, great buy. Also, order a size ip than usual king fu shoes, im normally 12.5 or 13 in any other shoe, but a 46 in this kind of shoe and this 46 was too snug and not even doable. The quality and craftsmanship though is for sure best and American standard of what you expect, not flimsy and thin like the tyoical ones. ... show more

I've owned shoes like these from the real brand in China, the one used by all traditional martial artists for decades. These are just like those. They are great if you know what you are buying. Two things to keep in mind, they are made lite. It's almost like going barefoot. They are like ballet shoes with a rubber sole than sneakers in terms of support. They are cheap. These are $2-3 shoes in China. They are made for that price point. In a few months of regular use the cheap rubber soles will be worn smooth and you'll have to discard them or risk slipping on concrete. ... show more
