The overall quality of the coat (it's actually a shirt), is really high! It feels durable and heavy duty. The biggest problem is the size. I ordered a small, and it is so big that it comes down to my knees. The "short" sleeves cover my arms down to the wrists. Because they are meant to be short and not long sleeves, they don't sit as intended, so puff out awkwardly. It's not just big in the arms. It's also all around big. I can nearly fit another me inside this coat. If someone told me I was sent a large by mistake, I would believe it. Alas, the tag says "small". The fabric is light and durable, and wicks away moisture fairly well, so you can cook in the sweatiest of kitchens and still be comfortable. This jacket fits well, as a woman finding a chef jacket that fits without major distortion is nice. The fabric is thin and lightweight and not see through, however it doesn't breath as well as I like. Overall the jacket is good as a daily wear.

Comfortable to wear chef coat. Thickness of material is a good balance between comfort, protection and not keeping in too much warmth. Sizing is similar to most other chef coats I've come across, which is to say that my usual very average M shirt size will result in my swimming in a medium for most of these. Small is perfect. Seams and buttons all look as though they'll stay attached for a while. Regular chest pocket & two pen sized pockets on the sleeves provide some storage without making it baggy for having regular pockets at the waist. No complaints. ... show more

    • WAY oversized, be careful
The quality of this piece itself is good. The fabric feels right for professional use in a kitchen, with the cotton/poly blend that we're used to. It's a standard double breasted design with large buttons that go on and come off easily, even right out of the package. However, this is NOT wearable for me. I wear a 41-42 chest and this thing is HUGE. Mind you, L is usually 42 in US sizing. This shirt is sized for about 46 comfortable fit. The length is about 4" too long, the shoulders are as described above, and the sleeve length is correspondingly about 2" too long on both sides. The torso feels like it will fit someone with 150% my mass comfortably. I feel like a 10 year old wearing my dad's shirt in this. So if you want this, figure out your sizing before you order or you'll have a high quality but unwearable shirt. ... show more
