This is a spreader that you have to walk your property - get maybe a 6 or 8 ft wide spread. I did that for a few minutes and the hopper was empty. The spreader puts out a lot of seeds. I put all the settings on max - 1) Quantity adjustment. 4) Spreader wheel. 5) Width controller 6) Speed control. It's easy to experiment to see what works for you. Huge plus - uses my Makita batteries. I have a lot and would prefer not another charging system.

As was stated in another review, this product is awesome...at first. I've used it less than 10 times in 6 months. The plastic is mysteriously cracking and the gate won't open when you pull the trigger. The gate is not stuck. The motor works great, but I can't spread anything. I tried to find information about a warranty, but can't find anything about the company. Very disappointed.

So much better than the Scott's Wizz! Mine was nearing end of life, and came across this at an amazing price. A bonus feature is the control of throw distance that was lacking in the Scott's. Time will tell in quality and longevity. If anything changes I will be sure to come back and update.
