Let's get the first thing out of the way, this is not a flagship phone, this is not even a midrange phone. Everyone needs to keep that in mind when using this phone. This is a $100 budget phone. After using this phone for a few weeks, I find it to be a very good phone. One thing I want to point out is, I have the 8gb model, not the 4gb one, not sure how that runs. But if you have the option to get the 8gb, get the 8gb model. Let's start with the main component, the processing unit. with the 8gb model, it runs very well, most applications and games run very smoothly. With games such as Genshin Impact, very low setting the game runs good. Otherwise, it pretty solid running other games. The Camera, it take great pictures for this price range. Like most phones, it struggled under low light and night time. Otherwise with outdoors and properly lit environment, pictures came out great. It has a great battery life, with moderate use, including some gaming, the phone lasted about 3 days for me before needing charging. The screen is very vibrant, great for content consuming. There one thing I didn't like about it was the settings where it has vivid color on and under bright light, the colors just gets overblown. The worse thing about the phone, it's the speakers. It's good for talking on the phone, but for music, not that great. Well, speakers on the phone, even for high end flagship phones, were never great to start with. However, the phone has a headphone jack! which they have gotten rid of for flagship phones and most of midrange phones. I use one of those $15 headphones, such KZ EDX PRO in ears Earphone Headphones, sounds great. Not a audio phone but they sound just as good as one of those hundreds dollar headphones. And of course, you also have the bluetooth option. Overall, a great phone on the budget. If you're on a budge for a phone, and just need it or daily and occasional music and gaming, this phone is for you. If you need a phone for elderly/senior or for a child, and don't want to spend too much on a phone, this is for you. ... show more

Had been using the Umidigi A11 and then the G1 Max for quite a bit. Now upgraded to the G5. Result: image even better than before, very neat and clean. Sound remarkably good for a smartphone. I am extremely disappointed in this phone. Seems as if I got a phone with factory fault. Any sound coming from the phone is not clear. I'm talking about music,videos, or calls and without a working speaker the phone makes no sense at all.

This is an awesome phone for the price. I got this as a fall back because I have exclusively used a company phone for over10 years. I wanted to see if I could set this up to use my google phone number. I had it done in under an hour. I did have to link it to an actual phone and change all the settings to have google voice do all the phone actions. I then moved the regular call and message buttons over to the second page and moved my google voice to the bottom row. The caveat to using the phone this way is that I have to access wifi to make phone calls so no talking while I'm not somewhere with a wi-fi connection. I'm quite pleased with this phone. Although it is a G5 model it is not a 5g but a 4g device. The screen is not quite as crisp as my current phone and when the screen is black you still can see a backlighting.
