Love the black soap dish, but after about 8 months we noticed black flecks on our soap. We soon noticed that the flecks were coming from the soap dish. Apparently, the soap dish is white but covered in a black coating/paint of some sort. Would not recommend as a long-term solution to your soap dish needs. ... show more

I feel the obligation to write a review for this item. I almost didn’t order because it has terrible reviews that are not true. I ordered two for my bathroom. The cups are absolutely perfect. The material is tough and the quality of the cup is very very good. They have also a rounded design but a flat bottom so they won’t tip over. You can feel the material Is not some cheap plastic and the best part is that there are NO SEAMS like other products on the market where you can see the mold seams. I was hesitant to purchase this because I wanted real glass, not plastic. But I couldn't find a modern dispenser that had clear glass, so I finally gave up and bought this, and am so pleased! The chrome is really thick and nice, and the acrylic pretty much looks just like glass. It looks great in my clean white bathroom with the Axor faucet. The chrome on my last soap dispenser got all pitted and rusty, so I am going to keep an eye on this, and I will report back if the same thing starts happening to this one! ... show more

This soap dish is advertised as ceramic. I'm not a materials expert, but I don't think it's a ceramic soap dish. The material feels more like a heavy recycled plastic. I'm going to see if I can spray paint it to give it a shiny finish like the rest of the ceramic accessories in my bathroom. Other than that, this soap dish is exactly what I needed.
