Great heavy weight chain. No need to cut. The manufacturer doesn't weld links, simply locate their cut on the individual links and open like a jump ring. It's very firm so use 2 sets of pliers to pry open. Update: ordered another roll, this one wasn't YELLOW gold, it's more of what they call NEW gold or KC gold. Still a great chain just can't use this shade for the project I had because the shade doesn't match. DISAPPOINTING ... show more

It's not 100% fantastic, but if you are looking for something easy and fast to use for a basic chain, this would be perfect for that the metal. This chain is just what I want. It's not metal coated plastic and it's not flimsy. It's real. BUT I can't get the links open. I have metal cutting tools so I was able to cut this stainless steel with those.
