It can be heated one time to 490°C in extreme service. This product can be cooled to -230°C. DO NOT plunge product directly into a liquid coolant. Place the product in the vapor phase of the liquified gasses for slow cooling prior to immersion in the coolant. The replacement arrived today and I’m very pleased. I appreciate the consideration of this company and will order from them again knowing that they stand behind their products. This is the first review from my original purchase in March 2019: Used this product for the first time since purchasing about a couple months ago. It seemed to withstand the heat of the double boiler but when I accidently knocked it over while it was sitting in the sink, it broke as if I had dropped it on the floor. I received this and the 1000ml was fantastic. The 500ml did have a crack in it but I was partially refunded and dont have to return so I am using to reorder. I it's almost worth it not to have to deal with return. The price did increase so I'm paying about the same price I paid originally and I'd much rather have the 500ml but this way I can use the one now and I could always use another 1000ml beaker anyway but mostly I have to drive 20min out of my way to return items so there's that lol. ... show more

I am happy with these low cost glass beakers. I use them in my gold electroplating operation. So far they've held up as well as the more expensive ones I've used before. I heat various solutions to boiling as well as performing actual electroplating small items in these beakers.
