These slippers are the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned! Since many customers seem to be confused as to which size they should order, here's a bit of advice for you: I live close to the Union Square Shopping District here in San Francisco. I walked over to the Downtown SF UGG Store and tried on the Ascot Slipper with Store Manager assistance. My foot measures EXACTLY size 9 D (M), so I tried on both a size 9 D (M) and a size 10 D (M). I can see why many customers are saying to buy one size up because the abundant amount of UGG PURE wool made my true size 9 D (M) feel quite snug. I noticed that the size 10 D (M) felt like it fit better at first, but after walking around the store (with regular cotton socks on) I noticed that the heal started to slip just a bit. The Store Manager said the vast majority of the UGG Ascot Slippers she sells feel tight at first, but "break in" to feel quite normal after several days of wear. To avoid excessive returns, she ALWAYS tells her customers to order their exact street shoe size, NOT one size up. So, I decided to purchase the size 9 D (M) from Amazon.com and I'm SO GLAD I didn't order the larger size! I plan on wearing my slippers with no socks, and it's important to know that I have normal (to slightly narrow) width feet. If you plan on wearing thick socks, or have wider than normal feet then you might consider ordering a size up, since half sizes aren't available (or possibly a wider size if you have wider than normal feet). Everyone's feet are unique, so you will have to decide if it makes sense to go up a size as several customers have suggested. I'm glad I didn't order a size up though, because my heal would be slipping by now if I had. I hope this sizing information helps! Give yourself the gift of comfort with these awesome slippers, they are well made, toasty warm and great for wearing around the house on chilly days.

UPDATE: These did not at all last as long as the buffed smooth leather Ascot i’ve owned in the past I highly suggest staying away from the suede material. Ugg’s didn’t even back the product. I called to ask and they said basically tough luck. I truly hope this was not a downgrade in quality and I just picked the wrong fabric/leather. I updated the justice this review 1 out of 5. I had my first pair for 5+ years. These are awesome! Hands down the best slippers you’ll ever own! No joke I use them outside and almost 5 years later they are just fine! Very warm but not hot. These shoes from UGG are good. The leather is quality on par with other fine leather goods I have owned, more than sufficient for the intended use and very comfortable. The wool liner is fantastic, so plush and very warm. I particularly enjoy how the wool conforms to the little spaces under the toes, not unlike a memory foam insert. The rubber outsole seems durable for kicking around the house, but don't go hiking around town in these shoes if you want them to last long term. They are house shoes, use them accordingly. Go to the mailbox or the trash bin, but pick up your feet or risk scuffing the leather on bottom. On fit, I've been wearing them for about a week and they've loosened up some, probably due to the liner compressing a little. They fit snug on me, which is how I like them. I typically wear men's 8.5 in running shoes, and the UGG 9 is spot on. Notice I have not referred to these shoes as slippers. When I first put them on, they were a little difficult to get into but perfectly comfortable once there. I like my shoes that way. If you want slippers, you may appreciate these one size up from your athletic shoes. People's feet are different, and your mileage may vary. On the whole, these are great house shoes that feel good and don't look like standard issue from a retirement home. As with all good leather shoes, treat them well and I expect they will be with you for a long time. For those who care, the tag in my shoes is printed "Made in China". It's a global economy, I'm not offended. The price I paid was appropriate for the quality.

Just received these slippers and they are incredible. I wear a size 10.5 in most shoes (Cole Haan, Johnston Murphy) and Size 11 in tennis shoes (Nike, Adidas, New Balance). My son has had these for 4 years, size 11, and his fit me perfect. I ordered as Size 11. When I first put them on they fit really snug. Not tight, but snug. Note that I also had a pair of wool socks on as well. After reading on line about UGG's, their website stated: "UGG footwear should be snug – but not uncomfortable. UGG footwear is designed to be worn barefoot to maximize the cushioning and warmth of the sheepskin. Our fleece foot bed will mold to the natural contours of your foot, creating a personalized arch support." I removed my socks and wore them all evening in barefeet.....and they were perfect. Feet don't sweat and the wool is really breathable Also over time the wool will mat down and form to you foot. So I suggest going with your normal size, wear them barefoot for a few days you they will fit perfect.

These are super comfortable and have kept my feet completely warm this winter. The tread on the bottom is nice because I'm able to run trash outside without having to switch shoes, as well as help keep traction on my wood and tile flooring. These are top quality shoes and worth the money. I wear a size 10.5 US and ordered an 11 because they said the sizing runs a little small. They were a little tight when I got them but have broken them in over the last two months and they fit perfectly now. If you're going to wear these WITH socks, I recommend ordering a full size larger than your normal shoe size.
