I had no problem with warped boards. My boards were packaged in sealed plastic. Punchouts were clean save for tiny bits where the laser cutting skipped so the parts would stay in the boards. Kit came with wax piece for lubricating some parts, as shown. Pictures for assembly were clear. Way better than IKEA. I made 2 minor mistakes during construction, but discovered them before moving to next step. One was a piece on backwards, and the other was a piece I didn't install at all. The kit included a small piece of sandpaper for smoothing some parts, but I used a self provided emory board to sand the attach point residue off the pieces. I think this could be fun to color with dye or paints. Mine works. Might be nice to include a link or source for a small motor, about 10 RPM to automate the result. ... show more

I’m a 73yr old widow who loves to build dollhouses and discovered UGEARS models. I love marble runs and thought I’d give it a try. The pieces are laser cut, all numbered to match the pictures in the manuals, and easy to punch out. There aren’t any word directions, just pictures, but they are very well done and very easy to understand. What fun to build! Initially, the mechanism had a tendency to stuck in some areas, so I waxed some pieces again and just kept turning the crank and eventually everything ran smoothly. One issue was that the marbles were not heavy enough to trip the mechanisms, so I bought 16mm steel ball bearings which solved that problem. The added weight of the bearings makes everything trip now! ... show more

What a fantastic model kit. As with all of them, there is a little futzing with it at the end, but this one was so good right out of the shoot. This is the second one I've built with the bigger marbles and being able to connect them creates such a fantastic system of movement. I really hope they come out with 2 more unique models that connect to these two. ... show more
