I purchased these water shoes as an alternative to rain boots that i would wear at work. My work is mostly outdoors and i constantly walk all day long. Rain boots are just too heavy for all day use when it rains. I am 10.5 W and i ordered the size 11. They fit comfortably like socks and they do require some break in period if you use them on hard surfaces like cement since these are already like barefoot shoes. Similarly like my 5 finger vibrams, i would wear these for a week in the house, gradually increasing use by hour or two to get use to that barefoot feel and for the shoe to adjust to the size of your foot. They did feel kinda tight in terms of width but thats an easy fix by wearing thick socks and stretching the shoes out. After a week, i wore them for the first time at work when it rained and they felt great. Based on my experience, they had nice grip and thus non slippery while walking, i can submerge into puddles without worrying about my shoes, socks & feet getting wet since i know these water shoes are meant to get wet. These shoes are lightweight, you can pack them in a reusable bag and bring them anywhere, when rain is approaching. I used theses shoes when it rained and used my regular running shoes when the ground dried out. They are quick, easy to remove and put on. After a days of use, i would disinfect the shoes and store them in a bag for the next time it rains. Overall, these are great alternatives to rain boots. Just takes time to adjust to walking longer distances with them if you arent used to barefoot walking. They are light, durable and breathable, and affordable.

I took a chance on these and they are pretty decent water shoes for my application. My particular application is to kayak various rivers in the Ozarks. They have performed well thus far on two different floats. I only had to empty sand one time on each trip and that was due to walking in some pretty deep fines which included sand and small rock that ended up being close to ankle deep. So they did a great job keeping the sand and rocks out. These would be great shoes for a less-than-rugged environment. The soles are slightly thicker than the other cheap ones that these replaced. With all of that being said, I will keep looking for a shoe with a thicker sole. Rocky beds and gravel bars tend to be a little rough on the foot even with these soles. If they were to add only about 2mm more thickness, they may be excellent for a river shoe. Sizing for me is always challenging as I have a very wide and thick foot and nobody seems to make wide versions of water shoes. I wear a size 8.5 EEEE width. I ordered the Mens size 8.5 thinking it would be the correct length and stretchy enough to fit my foot. It's adequate in width and thickness as it is very stretchy and my foot just fits into it in that regard. I feel that the toe is a bit long as if it's actually just a size 9 or 9.5 in length. I think that if I ordered a size 8 I wouldn't be able to get my foot into it without ripping something but the length might be correct for me. Of course, this is not a normal challenge for most folks but I do think they run a little longer than specified for the men's sizes. In the end, I don't regret my purchase and would recommend them. Just be aware that if you're walking in a harsh rocky environment you're going to feel some discomfort. These are still more comfortable than many of the other cheaper water shoes that I've used, but of course, there are better shoes at higher price points. It all depends on your budget. This is a pretty good bang for the buck in my opinion.

Great for outdoor wet events. The shoe's thin rubber soul is durable, yet will feel what you walk on. Wash and dry quickly. I use for most all my yard work and watering chores. Last now for over a year and still look new!

The media could not be loaded. Gave it 3 stars because they are well made, easy to put on, and sized perfectly. Most water shoes have those inserts in them that aren't glued in and they slide around inside the shoe as you move around in the water. These aren't made like that, they have a soft foot bed with a soft mesh over the top. The toes are semi separate making walking comfortable. Here's where the problem comes in. I bought these and a kid pair for my son, same brand, for our 7 night water park getaway. Lots and lots of walking, in and out of 4 different water parks. By the time we were done on the first day I had walk 6 miles and these shoes had caused my right foot to feel like my small toe was being cut off slowly with a dull knife. The kids shoe have a Velcro strap to keep them tight. These have a laced type of mechanism made of hard plastic with a bungee lace. The hard plastic part goes down the shoe too far and with each step it was digging into my foot. I couldn't do 6 more days with this so I had to purchase the cheap water shoes I don't like, at the wonderful resort markup price. My son loves his. I really wish I could love mine, because other than this one major design flaw, I loved everything else about them.

These are not great for walking, running, or hiking. They're great for water and are perfect for boat decks. I have walked long distances on pavement with them and they are durable. However, there is no support; no different than without shoes. If you don't like shoes, these are for you. I have not machine washed or dried these. I soak them like you would a wet suit using antibacterial dish soap in hot water and then air dry. You will need to clean them regularly with soap and dry as the material will sour easily.
