Best Diaper Pail - No Proprietary Refills Required!

As a new parent, the Ubbi Steel Diaper Pail has been one of my best baby gear purchases. After researching multiple diaper pails, I'm so glad I chose this one. No Special Refills - Thank God! This is THE biggest selling point for me. Unlike other popular diaper pails that force you to buy their expensive proprietary refill cartridges, the Ubbi uses any standard 13-gallon trash bag. This saves so much money in the long run! I was shocked when I learned how much those special refills cost for other brands - it's essentially a subscription tax on parents. With the Ubbi, I can buy whatever trash bags are on sale or in bulk, and I'm not locked into one brand's ecosystem. This feature alone makes it worth every penny. Odor Control: The steel construction and rubber seals do an excellent job containing odors. Even with multiple dirty diapers sitting in there, I don't smell anything unless I open the lid. The sliding lid mechanism creates a tight seal that really works. Our nursery stays fresh, which is especially important since we spend so much time in there. Hides the stink well!

I really like this diaper pail. I love that I can use normal garbage bags with it. The diaper door slides easily and it even locks so the kiddos can’t open it and let the stink out. It also really hides the stinky diaper smell! I’m surprisingly impressed.

We used the Dekor plastic diaper pail before this and absolutely hated it. Flimsy, bags always caught and tore on the mechanism, plastic also absorbs odors. Ordered this and it’s night and day. I love that we can use regular trash bags and it fits A LOT of diapers with zero smell. The lid is high quality and has a nice seal on it. I also like that the opening slides back and it can be locked. We received ours well packaged and it seems pretty durable to me. I’ve seen some reviews of people saying they’re not sturdy but who is kicking around their diaper pails?! This is all around great value, easy to use, and works great. UPDATE: After almost 3 months of use (my kiddo is now eating solids so her diapers are stinkier) this pail is still working great! Of course when you open it, it’s going to smell. When it’s closed though, it’s fine. I also have a habit of opening the windows every morning and keeping an air purifier near the diaper pail. Thankfully, my baby’s room hasn’t gotten smelly.

Great Alternative to Diaper Genie

I purchased this diaper pail because my previous one, the Diaper Genie, was becoming expensive due to the need for specialized refill bags. I was excited to find this option since it allows you to use standard trash bags instead of purchasing brand-specific ones. It does exactly what it says it does , I ended buying another one because we spend alot of time in our living room as well and running up and down the stairs was too much . Anyways it doesn’t make the living room smell or our room ! I love it very much ! It’s so easy to use and practical , it takes up very little space . It can take a lot of diapers too , one time we shoved so much until we couldn’t . It was hard to get out but it held its own !
