After some internet research we decided to go with this diaper pail over other popular options. I like that it's mainly made of steel so it'll hold up to abuse. I love that it works with standard trash bags, saving money on proprietary refills. The childproof lock adds peace of mind. It's a one handed operation to open and close the pail. Great product and simple to use. No need for special bags, just a standard trash bag works. We'll toss a couple extra in the bottom to make changing it a breeze. While it does lock in the stink, you still have to open the lid to put the next diaper in and the stink will rush out at you! There isn't a sliding door inside like the other brands that prevent this. Good thing it's rather small so the diapers don't stack up too long. But when the oder does come out it tends to linger, so beware. As our favorite TV program says, quick like a bunny, quick quick quick! It has an easy locking function so when my curious toddler wonders over to it he can't open it and toss his poop around.... he's been close! Now I always lock it when we're in the nursery. No goodie bag sensory play today! All that being said, we own 2 now. It's worth it not to buy one more specialty item with more useless plastic waste. ... show more

I took a chance and ordered this for my cat (yes you read the right). We were putting her litter bag waste in the kitchen trashcan and it smelled so bad so I bought this on a whim after looking up what sort of trash cans are anti-stink. This works perfectly; can’t smell anything unless you open the trash can. Removing the trash bag isn’t easy due to how the trash can is built but I’m OK with that. A good size for my needs. The locking mechanism is sometimes difficult because I’m forgetful but that’s OK that’s a user error LOL. The trash can is stainless steel and outside seems to be hard plastic, so it’s durable and seems to be able to last a long time but only time will tell.
