blocks the smell well, when it’s not opened that is. holds quite a bit, however the white part that holds the trash bags sticks out, so try to pull out a full diaper trash bag get caught on that and makes it so hard. since its metal holds the smell of the trash bag, a good hack is to put a bowl of baking soda to deodorize it and prevent the smell from sticking to the walls of the pail. also has a hole to put a loaded diaper in is kinda small. ... show more

There is nothing that I would change about my purchase because it is worth every penny. Older adults room stunk and this SOLVED that problem. Turning 84 sucks but it doesn't have to stink! Good lid design that didn't frustrate my dad to use. Never had one for my actual baby, but it fits adult diapers just fine.
