  • Clutch is much louder than OEM when engaging
I pulled the old compressor off and mounted this in an afternoon. Pulled a vacuum and filled with 134a and some oil. The old OEM compressor was intact and still good, the clutch was just bad. I kept it in case this one goes bad. I'll simply order a new clutch and fix that. I must say when the clutch engages, it's much louder than the original. I don't think it's a functional issue though. ... show more

  • Perfect fit, installs somewhat easily
Perfect replacement, mechanic quoted me a price of between $650-$1200, not an option for a car with almost 200,000 miles, bought this, found a video on YouTube, a couple specialty tools and I'm all set, couldn't be happier

  • So Far, So Awesome
Mail carrier and have an 08 crv & of course ac went out in mid July in south west Georgia! Omg! Had it professionally shade tree installed & it has been working great ever since. If yours hasn’t went out yet replace it before it does. This compressor is better than the factory one that came on it & gets cooler than other one. Hopefully it lasts as long as factory one or longer ... show more

  • Not even 1 year / barely used and it doesn't work.
I PURCHASED THIS ITEM IN AUGUST OF LAST AS THE SUMMER WAS ENDING AND HERE WE ARE NOW THE UPCOMING HOPING I WILM PUT IT TO USE THIS YEAR AND THE THING STOPPED WORKING THE FIRST TIME I TURNED IT ON ABOUT 1 WEEK AGO. I DID NOT EVEN GET TO ENJOY IT. IM WONDERING IF THEY WOULD OFFER AN EXCHANGE FOR A WORKING ONE? OTHERWISE, I WOULD BE WEARY OF RECOMMENDING THIS TO OTHERS. ... show more

  • fantasic price and quality
This compressor fit my daughter's 2007 Honda CRV perfectly. After months in the hot Florida summer, she was able to get her AC fixed. The price on this was the biggest seller for me though. It was incredibly cheaper to buy it from Amazon and I was able to find a mechanic who would install it. If you need to save money, then this is great quality. ... show more

  • Works for my CRV
Purchased for my 2010 Honda CRV. My Ac was blowing hot air in middle of July. My mechanic shop wanted $650 to replace. Other shop wanted $900. Bought this online for $200 and paid the mechanic $200 on the side to install in 45 mins. So far, 3 months later and no issues. Seems like a known issue for Honda’s. ... show more

fit on my 2010 Honda CRV like a champ used PAG 46 oil with dye and refrigerant H134a took some time. you may want to buy some extra plastic plugs that you have to remove from the cover underneath the car, good luck

  • Lasted only (4) years
Installed four years ago and just now died. It lasted at least 4 years but started making clicking shuddering sounds and then completely died. The original OEM compressor was know to have a thermal protection switch issue (Honda CRV) and apparently this cheaper replacement part may have had the same issue. Bought this one for ~$100 and now buying a slightly more expensive model ~$200 unit....now will be on 3rd AC compressor unit on car with 380k miles. ... show more
